MY FRIENDS ARE IDIOTS

Yellow

Eli's POV

So it was near Teacher's Day and we decide to get our teachers something. Lily is good in art and we asked her to make a few cards to give to our teachers. My classmate and I were watching her as she drew some patterns onto the card with coloured pens. The patterns looked quite pretty but it looked like there was something missing.

'Hey, I think you should add a bit of yellow, I suggested. She was only using pink, orange and purple and I thought yellow would be a good match.

'No adding yellow,' Lily said as she looked at me. She continued to draw the patterns on the card with the three colours.

'I really think you should add yellow,' I told her again.

'No.'

'Yeah you should add yellow,' my classmate supported me.

'No.'

'Add yellow,' I convince her again.

'No.'

'Yes.'

'No.'

'Yes.'

'No.'

'Yes.'

'No, no, no, no, no.'

'Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.' My classmate an I said in unison.

'Yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow,' we chanted.

'Fine.' Lily took her yellow pen and drew a line. 'Happy?' she asked.

'Draw more.' I took the pen and started adding more lines to the patterns.

'No!' she screamed (shouted? Meh) while grabbing the card away from me, causing me draw a crooked line.

'Now it looks ugly,' she said.

'Not my fault,' I replied.

Lily drew more lines so that it won't look so odd.

'Let me do it,' my classmate offered.

Lily passed her a pen and continued to add other patters to the card. When it was done, the card looked really pretty but Lily thought otherwise.

'It would look better without the yellow.'

'No, it would look boring without the yellow.' My classmate agreed with me.

'No it would look way better.'

'No, it would look worse.'

'Whatever. It's done. No more yellow.'

Lily lifted her file and I got a glance at the back of it. The file was transparent by the way. There was a piece of paper that had her name on it. The same colours were used. Pink, purple and orange.

'Lily.'

'Yes?' she turned to look at me.

I pointed to her file and said, 'I think you should add a bit of yell-'

'No!'

So now, whenever I see her drawing something that looks dull, I'll tell her she should add yellow just to piss her off. And when there is something  that is mostly yellow I'll point to it and say its colour and she'll roll her eyes at me. ;-)
