"Why dint you told me anything before?"Barirah asked irritatedly, her hands on her hips.
Asma rubbed her forehead to ease the pain ,while tying knots on the cloth they were supposed to dye.It was a tedious job to make patterns by tying knots. And the morning event had a turmoil on her. The water with the dye and the accurate chemical was boiling on the burner.
Ms.Mascarenhes was taking a toll around the lab checking the work her students were performing.
Though Asma was always hated by her colleagues, the teachers adored her.She was the only one in the batch who was trying patterns in the dying experiment and the teacher was ecstatically waiting for the results.
"Asma what did you say the name of the work you are trying to do?"
"Miss this is called Bandhni in India"
"Ohhhh i am so excited to see the results once it dry" Miss.Mascarenhes replied rubbing her hands excitedly.
Barirah couldnt help rolling her eyes eyeing the excitement.
As soon as the teacher left Barirah again questioned irritatedly
"What is your scene with Jafar""There is no scene between us" Asma replied immediately.
"Oh really. So he just declared to be your guardian angel out of the blue" Barirah replied eyeing her suspiciously.
"You are interrogating me" Asma replied jokingly to ease the tension.
"Thats all, your fat brain could think" Barirah replied.
There was an uncomfortable silence between the two friends. With the occasional sound of the bubbling water. Each one of them busy in their own thoughts.
Asma was still pondering on the idea of having some blue eyed to be her 'Guardian Angel' and the look the other boy 'Ben' gave her, as if he is not done with her yet.
"What the?Are you seriously, guarding her" screamed Ammar entering the class.
"Well salaam to you bro" Jafar replied calmly ignoring the class who were eyeing them suspiciously.
"Cut the crap. And give me a reason why you provoked Ben" Ammar questioned.
"I dint do anything. He was hitting on her and i just stopped him." Jafar replied innocently.
"Are you interested in Asma" Ammar asked calmy.
"I remember not taking her name"Jafar replied sarcastically.
"You dont need a name when 'Jef' is helping a girl" Ammar said making an action for Jef.
"Sorry not helping but guarding her" he continued. What Ammar said was true but Jafar knew that this is not the right time for such thoughts. Dismissing her thoughts to the back of his mind he started paying attention in the lecture.
The practical was over and the students were leaving the class.
"C'mon Asma wash your hands fast. You dont have that much colour also" Barirah whined."Patience Barirah. Dont be so hyper to meet your husband" Asma replied patiently.
"Patience and Barirah not a match" Barirah replied in a duh tone.
"Ouch" someone pushed Asma by the door.
The red haired girl from the previous class and some other girls whom Asma and her freind dint knew gathered around them.
The red hair leaned towards Asma menacingly.
Asma flinched backwards.
"Stay away from Jef" she threatened and the group left.Barirah helped her freind up muttering incoherent words to the red haired.
"Whats up with the foul mood honey" Ammar asked sensing the anger in his wife.
"The girl needs a piece of my mind" Barirah spat angrily ignoring her husbands concern.
Jafar raised an eyebrow toward Asma and she simply shrugged.
"Explain" Jafar said.Barirah told them everything about the red haired girl. She even explained the threat and the way it was done, adding her own spices, earning a glare from her freind.
The boys were shocked to hear it all.
"Well the red haired is Janet" informed Jafar.
"I need to make sure she dont mess with you any more" he said trying to get up."No no no please dont say any thing to her. You have created enough scene in the morning" Asma stopped him.
"So you know it was me" Jafar said teasingly.
"I dont know any other blue eyes" Asma replied lowering her eyes.
"By the way do you know who this Jef is" Asma questioned meeting his eyes.
The eyes which were mesmerising for him. He immediately lowered his eyes feeling guilty. He tried looking at Ammar for help but Ammar simply nodded.
Clearing his throat Jafar finally blurted
