The car was cutting through the evening traffic. He was patiently driving back home. Todays event and her behaviour dint went unnoticed. The way she ignored him the entire day hurted him the most.

It was not his mistake that he was present to rescue her. It was purely coincidence though he knew that it was him who had requested Ammar to ask Barirah about her where abouts. And he wanted it to look unplanned bumping in the library. But he found her in the worst conditions. And he had thanked Allah s.w.t thousand times for sending him for her.

The entire day his mind wandered towards her. He knew she was fragile and Benedict's act had broken her but he could sense something else wrong with her behaviour too.

Pinning down the problem was getting more and more difficult. The coach at the game was even disappointed with him today.

They had avoided any topic related to her like plague but her zoning out constantly was not helping his stupid heart to wander and search for reasons.

He was brought back to reality by the constant honking of the cars beside him. Focussing back on the road he found himself still on her streets.

Irritated he glanced sideways and there a niqabi was trying to cross the road with the cars still moving. And suddenly she was in front of his car.

Putting on the brakes,he focussed on the girl and there she was, the niqabi who stole his heart.

Coming back to present he found her struggling while crossing the road. She was not in her senses.

Either she was unaware of her sorroundings or she wanted to die. Thinking about something bad happening to her send shivers to him.

Parking his car as fast as he could, he rushed behind her. And she was standing in the middle of the road, trying to get on the other side.

Apologising to random drivers he reached besides her and the moment she was about to step in front of the fast moving Sedan he held her back.

"Leave me" she screamed.
"What are you trying to do Asma" he replied keeping his cool not losening his grip.

"Getting back home" she replied.
"Your home is on the other side. You crossed an extra street" he replied.

"Ohh is that so" she replied innocently looking around for her familiar building.

"Whats wrong Asma tell me" he questioned pleadingly.

"Of all the people you asking me whats wrong Jafar. I could have been raped. And it can happen again. I dont want to be here Jafar" she replied sobbing hysterically.

"Sshhh" thats all he could say to cool her down.
He guided her below her buliding making her sit on the bench nearby.

The walk somewhat made her calm. And her sobs were dying out.

"I called him up asking for my tickets but he said he dont want me without a degree" she said in a voice barely audible.
If it was not Jafar's skill at hearing Asma's whisper he would have surely missed her confession.

Fearing the outcome he managed to ask
"Who dont want you Asma?"

"My father" she whispered again.
