The first day. Piper, in typical Piper fashion, had only just rolled out of bed.

She looked at the heart-shaped clock. It was 8.50- only 10 minutes until the start of school.

"Shit." She breathed.

"Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit." Piper cursed as she hurled herself round the room, splashing her face in the bathroom and shoving a toothbrush in her mouth. She spun into the closet and found that an outfit was laid out for her- it must've been Annabeth. Silently thanking her friend, Piper pulled on the woolly grey pullover and faded jeggings, avoiding her toothbrush.

Halting in front of the mirror, she yanked her hair into a messy bun and tied a scrunchie round it. She finished in the bathroom, slid on some converse and grabbed a handbag which was slung on her bed.

On her way out the door, she was met by an exasperated sigh.

"Finally, beauty queen," Leo was leaning against the door frame, before scanning Piper up and down, "My god Piper, no makeup? Gold spangly armbands?" He held is hands to his face in mock horror.

"Shut it, Leo. Where's Jason and the others?" Piper huffed.

"Well, I was going to compliment you. But fine, if i'm not enough for your company," He blew a strand of curly hair out his eyes, "They went ahead, Jason had a message from Thalia."

Piper nodded, hiding her disappointment.

"Let's go. We've got a car." Leo grinned, leading her downstairs.

Once in the garage, Piper's eyes were met with a white Lexus. Leo was positively gleaming as he slid into the drivers seat. Piper took shotgun as he revved the engine.

"Not bad, eh?" Leo smiled whilst backing out, "Something the Valdezador cooked up last night."

Piper stared at him. "You made a car last night?"

"Pretty good, huh?" They were speeding down the road.

"More than pretty good, Leo! But don't let it get to your head, okay?"

"Oh, that train already left the station." Leo joked, but Piper knew he wasn't serious.

"And since when did you know how to drive?" She quizzed, flipping the glove compartment open. A pair of comedy dice and spare trouser suspenders rested inside.

"Uh, since twelve hours ago."

Piper hung up the comedy dice. "What?"

"Don't worry, Dad gave me a license." Leo smiled. He turned off the road and into a car park.

"Great. Consider me reassured." She grumbled.

She looked around.

It was Goode.
