I gain consciousness and feel a sharp pain in my wrist and a throbbing headache. I slowly open my eyes.
I'm in my room? I look around and see somebody sitting in the corner. At least the lights are off.
"Arabella?"
"Mason?" I say softly, my throat was burning.
"Your awake?... MOM! DAD! SHE'S UP!" He yelled making my headache worse. I wince and close my eyes.
What the freak happened? Then I see my mom, dad, Lilith, and Blake and his family walk in.
"Is she okay Amy?" Blake's mom asked mine. My mom nodded to her and went by my side.
"What happened? I thought I was at Blake's house."
"Well" she answers," Blake said you fell off the trampoline and hit your head and we all freaked out. You've never done anything to get hurt before so we were kind of shocked. Anyway, we took you too the doctor and he said that your didn't have any major head injuries and you just broke your wrist." I looked down at my arm. There was a cast on my wrist.
"Wait, don't I have to be awake to answer question for the doctor to diagnose me?" I ask. My mom nodded and then looked at me, confusion swirling in her eyes.
"You don't remember?" I shake my head I look at the ceiling trying to recall leaving Blake's yard.
Nothing. Then out of nowhere Blake runs from my room. I just ignore him and listen to my mom.
"That must be a symptom from hitting your head." Then something clicks.
"Mason!" I say forgetting about my headache. I raise up and my head throbs, making me fall back to my pillow. "I thought you were with your friends?"
"Well I heard about what happen and.." He trails off.
"What?"
"Well... I honestly laughed because your such a goodie goodie that you've never been hurt." That made me giggle which also shot pains through my head. I guess my mom noticed.
"We should leave." She stood up from my bedside and headed towards the door motioning for everyone to follow. "You need rest." And with that said I closed my eyes and fell back asleep.
~****~
I woke up and looked around. Good no one. Nadie. Zip. No person. Gosh I'm a nerd.I tried to move my hand and succeed. Yes. Then I tried to sit up, testing my headache, still nothing. Yes! Maybe I'm good now. I jump out of bed and walk down the hall towards the stairs.
[Blake's P.O.V.]
It's my fault! It's my freaking fault. I knew she was too special for me. As soon as it sunk in that this was my fault I ran from her into her living room.Just when she was trusting you!!! Your idiotic self let this happen.
I run my hand through my sweaty hair.
It could've been worse. What if it was worse?! What if.... She lost her memory of everything?!
That would have been your fault...what if.
Urge this frustrating! Maybe... Maybe I shouldn't be around her anymore. We've know each other for a day.A FREAKING DAY! And this happens!
"Sweetie? Are you okay? Your pacing around the Lane's living room." My mom asked. She was always caring. I got lucky with her as my mom. My dad on the other hand...nope not getting in to that. I heard something creak upstairs but quickly ignored it.
"No-yes-... I'm fine it's Arabella that got hurt." I let out.
"I know." She says looking down" she seems like such a nice girl. I'm glad it wasn't something horrible that happened." She gives me a lopsided smile."she'll be okay Blake. I don't even know why you care so much. It's not like your best friends?"
"Yeah mom your right! We're not best friends! So...so WHO even cares..." I scream in her face. I really shouldn't have done that but I was ticked that she would say that.
I was ticked at her words.
I was ticked that Arabella fell.
I was ticked at myself for letting it happen."I'm sorry..." Is all my mother said before sitting on one of the couches. I sighed and told her I was going home.
[Arabella's P.O.V.]
Woah... Did he just say that?I had walked halfway down the stairs when I heard Blake talking to his mom. I had tried to sit on the stairs and listen but it made a sound and I ran back up, deciding to sit at the top of the stairs. After that, I heard him yell at her then the front door opened and slammed shut.
I walked downstairs to see his mom sitting on our couch with her face in her hands.
"M-mrs.Hynes?" I stutter. She looks up and smiles sweetly at me. That must have been where Blake got his sweet and comforting smile.
"Yes dear?" He voice squeaks. Has she been crying?
"Uh, where's Blake?" I sit down beside her.
"He's.. Home I think." She looks back down at her hands. "He's so much like Steven." She mutters under her breath.
"Hm?" I look at her.
"Oh-you heard that. Yes well it's true. He is a lot like his father. Well... Attitude wise anyway." She laughs but I can tell that there's pain in her voice.
"And.. Is that bad?" I innocently ask. She stares me in the eyes and I can see something in them.
"Well... No, but..." She trails off. I nod slowly in understanding.
"He was here earlier today, Blake's dad."
"Yeah. He was. Now he's at the house. Doing who knows what." She seems like she's about to cry. She coughed and said with a happier tone " are you feeling any better?"
"Yes ma'am, but where's my parents? I saw my sister and your son asleep on her floor." She laughed at that.
"They went to get some aspirin for you with your brother." I nodded and went to the kitchen to grab a water.
I hope Blake's okay. And his dad. Hmm, well on Monday I'll get to see him again. And with that thought, I walked back up the stairs, waving to Mrs. Hynes.
