I end up taking a nap for a few hours on the couch that Will had helped me get to. My ankle is absolutely throbbing and is still very swollen.
I wake up to the sound of the door slamming shut and my heartbeat quickens.
Who is that?
Then I hear my Mother's and Fathers voice. I calm down and throw a blanket over my legs hoping they wont notice my ankle.
"Oh hi sweetie," Mom greets as soon as she sees me.
"Hi," I answer.
"Where were you? I texted you but you didn't answer. You didn't tell me you were going out."
Oh, here we go.
"I was out with Kortni, we went to the mall because Victoria Secret was having a big sale," I lie. I know it's not good to lie to your own parents, but I don't want to deal with 101 questions. I am never out with guys so she would be asking why I am all of a sudden.
"Oh. Buy anything?" Mom questions.
"No."
"Why?"
"Didn't like anything there."
"Want lunch?" She asks way too many questions in a single conversation. I think I get my curiosity from her.
"Sure. What are my choices?" I end up having a turkey sandwich with some fruit. Mom brings it over to me, which she never usually does but thank god she did. I don't want to limp to the kitchen and have more questions. After lunch, I head to my room after Dad goes to the garage and Mom is in the kitchen. I swing my legs over to the ground and hiss in pain when my ankle comes in contact with the couch.
I stand up shifting all of my weight to my left side and hop. I grab on to everything close by to keep me stable. I hold onto the wall and the couch as I walk to my room and by the time I make it to my room, I am exhausted.
I am really out of shape I suppose.
I hop into bed and breathe a sigh of relief. I close my eyes and rest for several minutes until my phone vibrates next to me. I see Will's name flash across the screen.
Hey you ok. Blake and I can check on you do you need anything. He is just so nice.
I feel my body ache when I sit up to stretch. My stomach twists uncomfortably in cramps and I feel like I am going to throw up. Before I have the chance to answer Will I head to the bathroom slowly limping and splash water on my face to cool down.
I soon realize that I have just started my period. Just more pain to add on top of the pain I already have.
Great.
I look in the bathroom closet, soon to figure out that I have only one tampon left. This is seriously just how my life goes, isn't it? I can't even drive to the store because my ankle really hurts, and if I ask Mom then she will tell me to go and I would have to explain why I can't. I mean, Will did ask if I need anything.
No way, that would be way too embarrassing.
I head back to my room and lay down on my bed again. I shoot a text to Kortni letting her know my current situation and she tells me she will be here in 10 minutes.
Thank god.
Five minutes later Mom comes into my room, without knocking of course.
"Can you knock I could be changing?" I raise my eyebrows at her.
"Sorry. There's some boy here, he says he wants to see you? Is it Drake or something?" My heartbeat quickens. What the hell is he doing here?
