I still couldn't believe it.
I am married.
We are married now.
The words kept going round in my head, but my heart refused to calm down.
I sneaked a glance at Vihaan again and, without even thinking, reached out to touch his arm-just to make sure this wasn't a dream.
He caught me doing it, of course, and gave me that deep look with his dark chocolate brown eyes and held my hand brushing his thumb over my palm.
My cheeks instantly heated, and I turned away like nothing happened.
Nine years of waiting. Nine years of growing, of wondering, of wishing. And now.... he is my husband.
My Husband.
Just the word made me want to hide my face in my dupatta.
"Congratulations to you both," Tanya said, folding her arms and giving Vihaan a sharp look. "And remember, you better take care of her."
I smirked at him, raising my brows, "You heard that."
Before he could reply, Yash threw himself into the spotlight, fake-crying and wiping imaginary tears, "My poor brother is gone forever. No more boys trips, no late-night gaming, nothing. From today, his only duty is carrying shopping bags!"
I laughed and shook my head.
"And no more listening to his weird talks, that's a relief," Sid added, rolling his eyes.
Vihaan glared, "Shut up, Sid."
"Don't worry, Ruh," Vani leaned toward me and said loudly, "if he troubles you, we'll kidnap him and I'll personally show him my special punches."
I giggled and Vihaan sighed muttering under his breath, "she is always ready for a war."
"Guys, seriously. Stop it. I am already nervous," Vihaan groaned.
Sid grinned, "Nervous? He was more than nervous. Before the wedding, your dear husband was in another dimension, imagining every single possibility. 'What if I get late? What if I don't look perfect? Ruh will scold me.' "
Everyone burst out laughing. I reached for Vihaan's hand under the dupatta and raised my eyebrow at him, "You were that scared of me?"
He leaned close and whispered back, "Not of you. But my wife."
My face grew hot, and I blushed loweing my head.
But Sid wasn't done, "And guess what? He was muttering to 'It's just a wedding...I just need to stay calm... don't mess this up' like he was preparing for a boxing match."
I laughed so hard tears filled my eyes, "Oh my God! I wish I had recorded that."
Vihaan narrowed his eyes at me and i just chuckled looking at his irritated face.
