They returned in darkness. The light was fading, sleep was falling, and the stars were glowing.
Coriane closed her eyes and breathed in the cool air. Tibe shifted next to her, and opening her eyes she saw him looking intensely at her.
"What?"
"Nothing. Come on, we should probably return this little guy back to the stables", he spoke, gesturing with a hand to the colt, bridle attached to a rope which Coriane held.
She nodded in response, clicking her tongue and leading it back to it's stable.
When she was done removing the saddle and bridle, along with checking the food and water, she walked back to the entrance of the stable, where Tibe waited.
"You should probably be getting back."
He made a face, "You're right, I've been gone awhile." He shifted awkwardly in the doorway, shoving his hands in his pockets as he looked up at the stars behind the overhang, cheeks lighting in a silver flush, "I- um- I like you."
Her eyes widened and then she smiled, a matching blush lighting her own cheeks, "I like you, too."
He smiled at her, "Okay, I... Guess I'll see you again?" She nodded. Then he leaned in and pressed his lips to her cheek, causing the silver to lighten.
"Bye, Riane."
And with that he was gone, lost in the night.

Tibe was torn between hitting himself and jumping up and down and squealing.
She liked him! That or she pitied him. He wasn't a Whisper, he didn't know her thoughts.
He sighed and ran a hand through his hair as he walked to the car, which was parked down the road. His dad was going to kill him.
For starters, he had taken a car without permission. Second, he had gone off to meet a girl his father specifically said to avoid; which translated to a direct order. And third, he had been gone an entire day.
But he had gotten to see Coriane. And she made all the bad things worth it.

A) not updating
B) this craptastic chapter
And C) not updating
I felt really bad, and I couldn't figure out my physics homework and just ugh.
And speaking of physics, anyone know how many atoms of Si-28 will be the kilogram under the new definition? And how many moles?
Yeah, probably not. Again, sorry for lack of updating, school and anime has consumed my life and soul.
