I have woken up with a headache, my face is sweaty and my body is in pain. I feel a lot better knowing its school today, having to walk to halls with a headache while students talk loud and my body having to push through the pain for the next 7 hours. I am gratefully the happiest person on earth.
"School starts in less than an hour, you should start getting ready with the pace you'll be going today" The voice of Matt rang through my ear. Closing my eyes once last time, I sat at the edge of my bed sleepily rubbing them.
I started pacing my way towards the bathroom to start my day.
"Your first lesson you have home group and the next two lessons you have self-defence"
"Thanks for the heads up Matt" I responded with the nicest voice i could.
"You're welcome" Matt said in a cocky voice.
Frowning, i grabbed the hair brush and started to brush my birds nest. It took more than 5 minutes to get my hair all under control.
I look carefully into the mirror and saw at the concur of my eye a glowing symbol in the shower. Turning my body around to look at the symbol better.
"What do you think it is Alice?" Matt asked quietly.
"I really don't know". I really don't know what it might be but I knew something was there, we knew.
I began to make my way towards the shower and became more nervous when i realized i was only meters away from the shower curtain to now reveal the strangle symbol.
Grabbing the edge of the curtain, I took a deep breath while I felt Matthews pressure above me just in case something happened.
Finally finding the courage to pull the whole curtain to the side. To find nothing.
"I swear i saw something" I know I did, even Matt saw it so I haven't gone crazy.
Breathing slowly to figure out what happened in my thoughts, I figured that it was probably nothing to fuss over. It was probably reflection of the sun, hopefully.
"Same, maybe it's just your eyes. You're not wearing you're glasses or contacts" Matt questioned making it sound as believable as he can.
"Debatable" I finished.
Looking back up to the mirror, a invisible figure started to take my hair piece by piece, creating a lose side braid.
When i was younger, i taught Matt how to braid, I barely remember teaching him myself. I liked knowing that I always had a helping hand even if it came to little careless things I should do myself.
Throughout Matt braiding my hair, i kept thinking about the event that only took place a few moments ago. I knew there was something there, it was bright and it would caught anyone's eye, it couldn't just be because I wasn't wearing glasses nor contacts. I can see pretty well without glasses from close areas but that was pretty close so this wouldn't be a misunderstanding.
Matt was now down braiding my hair and I quickly placed in my contracts so I wouldn't have to bother about wearing glasses all day. They were old and not very stable anymore, they would normally slowly fall off my face. Something I need to look into for my birthday.
Walking out the bathroom, I clawed through my wardrobe to change into my school uniform. I normally wore a navy blue dress that reached a little to high above my knees, with white knee high socks, black leather shoes and a black jacket.
Walking over to my school bag placed next to my door, i started to put in my phone, apple laptop air that was given to me for Christmas (didn't ask for it) and a pack of 5 gum, strawberry. I picked up my bag and walked down the stairs for my green tea that mother always makes me for the morning.
