most of my friends are obsessed with how some people think of them.
I've never been considered popular in my life. my parents always thought I was when I truly wasn't. but I'm at the point where I don't really want to be popular. because most of the people in my class probably couldn't give two shits about Chelsea. and honestly, doesn't that suck?
my parents loved to make my birthday special. so they throw me a special and big birthday party when I was turning ten. before that party, most of the kids in my class wouldn't even look at me. they would talk about me behind my back. or look at my weird.
i always told people where I lived in my class and people had never heard of it. it wasn't west orange or Livingston.
until the day I had my party and people started to come. then people wanted to be nice to Chelsea sin s they saw I lived a good, blessed life(which I'm truly grateful for). then people wanted to talk to me and wanted to be my friend and all. which is pathetic and sad. because some of them wouldn't even look at me before that day.
fifth grade was awesome. my teachers were nice and everyone was nice to each other. people liked me and would talk to me.
sixth grade - lets say, i got left out of a lot of things. twin day with my "friends"(not including me of course). one of my friends telling me about my other friends talking about me behind my back. no one except the girl who told me and the "not considered cool kids" comforted me and were by my side. the cool ones and some of the people who were my "friends" since we were wearing overall in preschool. pretty much, I wasn't considered popular.
seventh grade - it was pretty good. i just witnessed drama, not really experienced it. i was in 7a home room, which was considered the popular homeroom. people were nice to me and whatever I guess. but here's the thing. I have another big birthday party since I was turning thirteen(I'm gonna post the story time of that soon). and people then started to like me again I guess. everyone was nice to me that day and after. people called it the best birthday party and whatever. thanks!
anyway, the point of this story is that popularity doesn't matter. it's not gonna get you into highschool or college. it's not gonna get you a job most likely. people will love and support you when it's beneficial- nicki minaj. <~~ that's a true quote right there.
just know going into this school year, be your awesome self and don't worry about what anyone has to say. just because your not skinny or have pretty long hair doesn't mean anything. it's just shows how messed up society is these days that that's the type of image and look you should have.
popularity comes with a price - black and white converse cover.
and since I'm broke, I'm not paying for popularity.
