Rustles could be heard from the shared bed of devoted partners. Untangling from their entwined limbs, a petite female sat up, rubbing her eyes before stretching her arms into the open air.
She blinked before noticing shuffling on the other side of the bed.

There laid her newlywed husband, green strands fluttered against his pillow, his face scrunched up as he tried to get his missing warmth back.

It was unusual to see the grown man, sleeping past the normal time of waking up. Normally, he would be the one awake first, ready to start his daily shift at the hospital but now it feels as if the roles had reverse.

Midorima grunted before picking himself up and moving closer to her body, he wrapped his arms around her waist and laid his head on her lap.
He sighed in relief and closed his eyes in satisfaction.

"Shintarō, don't you have work today?" The female asked, amused by his sudden grips of affection.
Midorima merely shook his head, too focused on the patterned breathing she was producing.

"..I don't. I got Takao to cover me for the day." The greenette mumbled, embarrassed to say so.
The female gave out a small but melodious chuckle, "You could have told me, I was worried that you had lost your job or somethin'!"

Midorima gave a faint smile as he nuzzled his face to her stomach. She giggled and slowly stoke his hair.
"But seriously, Shintarō, I need to prepare for the day so could you please let go of me?"

In a quick response, Midorima shook his head again, his grip tightened as he heard the female sighed lowly. "Shintarō.."

"I don't want you to leave." He murmured into (y/n)'s shirt.
The female tilted her head in confusion,

"Honey, it's not like I'm leaving forever, it just for wor--"

"Stay." He commanded before realizing the surprise look sketched onto his lover's face, "D-don't leave me, nanodayo." He spoke, albeit out of his normal characteristics.

The female reluctantly sighed, before crawling back to bed, her husband's arms wrapped securely around her.

A long moment of silence passed, although quiet, it was surprisingly peaceful as if the silence spoke of a small hum.
"You're like a dream you know? If I open my eyes, would you still be in my arms?" Midorima softly asked, his eyelids shut tight, blinding his vision.

"Am I only dreaming this exact moment? You, accepting my confession, accepting my proposal, standing beside me in that lovely white gown at the alter, accepting me for who I am. It's like a dream in which everything I wish for came true." He continued.

"Do you wish for everything to be a dream?" The female question quietly, as if exchanging whispers with each other, "Do you regret the choice you made or perhaps want to exchange it for anything else?"

He shook his head, moving closer to plant a small peck on her forehead,
"I wouldn't exchange you for anything in the world."
