Corrupt Shadows (Sequel to 'The Demon Child')

Strange Things

You were sitting on the couch just thinking of something to do, something to end your boredom. Luckily, Jeff came to save you. "Hey (y/n)." you face towards him. "I'm gonna go on a killing spree. Wanna come?"

"Fuck yeah! Finally, something to do."

"Well get your ass in gear and lets go!" you jump over the arm of the couch and run up to Jeff who's waiting in the doorway. You both walk outside before sprinting through the forest at inhuman speeds. It's about 2 minutes before you two reached your firsts victims house. You both sneak into the backyard, not making a sound. 

"You get downstairs, i'll get upstairs." Jeff nods and makes his way to the backdoor while you climb to a window that's on the second floor. Using your vectors you lift yourself up to the window and look through the window, making sure no one is up. You use another vector to unlatch and open the window. You slowly climb through the window and hide in the corner, blending with the shadows. You see someone who looks be about 17 sleeping on the bed. He starts to stir and opens his eyes. He faces towards the window and looks at it with confusion. He slowly sits up but before he sees you you teleport next to his bed on the floor.

"Hello?" he looks around. Your eyes glow red and you slowly get closer to him but make sure he doesn't see you, yet. Just as he sees you one of your vectors wrap around his mouth and you pin him to the bed. He keeps trying to get free but two of your vectors wrap around his wrists.

"You're strong i'll give you that, but i'm stronger."  Your blade appears in your hand and the crystal glows brightly. You take a closer look at his face and recognize him. "Hey I know you. You're Brandon, the one from the mall. Oh i'm gonna love killing you." You take the blade and slowly drag it across his arms, deep enough to cause to to bleed extensively. He screams but its muffle by a vector. You get off of him and stab him in the dick. "Oh no. I guess you won't be having children anytime soon." you take the knife and raise it above his heart. "Bye bye." you shove it into his heart and he dies. You get off the bed and Jeff comes in.

"Wow, and I thought I was messy." the blood on you then disappears and you walk downstairs with Jeff in front of you. When you get to the bottom of the staircase you look to your left and see something. There's and abnormal shadow, darker than it should be. Nearly pitch black even though there's enough moonlight shining through the window. For some reason you feel afraid. "Come on." you look at Jeff and back at the spot but see that it's gone."(Y/n) lets go." you take a deep breath before heading out with Jeff. "What's got your panties in a bunch?"

"Nothing." after about an hour of going around killing people nothing else out of the ordinary happened. You and Jeff headed back to the mansion. You sped walked upstairs and saw Splendor in the hallway.

"Hey (y/n), is everything ok?" you completely ignored him as if he wasn't there and walked into your room, leaving the door slightly open. You started pacing around the room, gripping your hair. Shadow appears in the room and watches you looking slightly worried. "(Y/n)? Are, are you alright?" Splendor peeks through the door and slightly steps in.

"That's not normal that shouldn't be a thing. What was that? Why was I afraid i'm never afraid."

"(Y/n) what happened?" Splendor walks over to you but you just keep pacing around. 

"I, I can't. Why-" Why do I feel like this?  You take your hands our of your hair and wrap them around yourself.

"(Y/n) please calm down." Splendor stops you by pulling you into a hug, holding the back of your head. "(Y/n) it's ok." you two stay like this until you have finally calmed down. "Now, tell me what's wrong."

"There was a thing, I don't what it was. I couldn't help but feel afraid. It was an abnormally dark shadow even though there was moonlight shining in." Shadow just continues to stay silent looking a bit more worried.

"You're probably just seeing things from being up so long. Come on, you should get some rest." he walks you over to the bed and you crawl in. Splendor gets in with you and holds you close. 

Dream

You're walking through what looks to be mansion. You're wearing a white long sleeves shirt and white pants. The floor is black while the walls are a dark blue. As you walk down a hallway you feel as if something's coming to get you. You look behind you and a black figure. It's blury but yet, looks like Shadow except it's male. "Hello?" the figure starts to slowly approach you. "H-hello?!" it starts following you a little faster and the walls around it start to turn black. You start running away, terrified of what's behind you, not wanting to look. You keep running like your life depends on it. The walls and floor begins to turn white in the direction you're running as they turn black behind you. You're not fast enough and the darkness consumes you. You reach towards the light but it completely surrounds your body. You're suddenly in a white room and your clothes are now black. Another black figure is standing in the room but this time it looks clearer, less blury. "Who are you?" 

"I'm Zylax." he voice sounds like a faded echo. (Try to imagine it)

"Why do you look like Shadow?"

"Cause we're the same species."

"Species?"

"She didn't tell you? Oh what a shame. Well to sum it up, Shadow wants you dead."

"You obviously don't know anything about her. She'd never even think about killing me."

"Of course she does that's all she wants. You see, you're more powerful than her and because of that you're a threat. She fears you may over throw her and take over her kingdom. Maybe even be a better ruler than her."

"What?"

"Me and her are from a place called the Shadow realm. There's different kinds of 'shadows' that live there. There's Seekers, they're like a military. Passengers, they travel between the Shadow realm and human realm. They just watch people. Citizens, they only stay in the Shadow realm and live their lives. I personally think they're boring. And then there's the rogues. They just want to help the humans but the ruler, the one you know as Shadow, wanted us all dead. So she sent out seekers to kill every last one of us."

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Because I want you to get rid of Shadow. Together we can bring back the rogues and help humans."

"You're wrong. Me and Shadow share memories. I know everything she knows."

"Don't be a fool, she's lying to you. If you're smart you'll join me, and together we can rule the Shadow realm, make it a better place. But i'll give you time to think. I just hope you choose correctly." everything fades away.

Dream Ends

You wake up next to Splendor who appears to be sleeping. You lay for a few minutes staring at the ceiling. What did he mean? What's this Shadow realm he talked about and how is Shadow the ruler of it? UGH What does this mean?!  You sigh in frustration before carefully get out of bed, not wanting to wake Splendor. You look at the clock and see that it's 6am. I need some air. You walk out of your room and downstairs. Fortunately no one is awake yet. You walk outside and wander around the forest. The sun is starting to come up so the forest is lit. Shadow wants to kill me? I can't believe that, even if she does push me off of things it doesn't make sense. I mean isn't she the voice in the back of my head? Or has she just made it seem like it so she can get close. "UGH! WHY?!" you throw your hands up in the air. "He's a liar." you walk over to a tree and start punching it. "Liar. Liar. Liar! Liar! Liar!" you stop punching the tree and put your head against it.

"I don't think a tree can lie dear. After all, it's a tree." You turn your head and see.......
