AUTHOR'S NOTE: PerfectlyAngelic here~ :D With the sixth chapter of Realization! So remember I ended the fifth chapter with a cliffhanger? Haha...So here's what's going to happen next in my story. This is the part where I put a little twist in the story when Lucy encounters the Phoenix alone. :3 BWAHAHAHAHA! So, the sixth chapter of Realization is dedicated to shanadragneel19. Enjoy! ^_^

~NORMAL POV~
Lucy started to walk towards the pendant, which was hung on a large rock. It had a golden string and a ruby gemstone, which glistened in the sunlight. Lucy hesitated for a moment, then started to reach out for the pendant, when suddenly...she heard a noise. Like a bird's--no, an eagle's mighty cry. She knew immediately what the creature was. It flew above the rock and slowly landed on it beside the pendant, sending sparks of fire flying around. Yes, it was the Phoenix.
Lucy gasped and took out her keys. She was about to summon Loke when the Phoenix bent down to get the pendant. It flew in front of Lucy and bowed down. Just like Hana... Lucy said in her mind. Indeed, this is what Shizukesa said happened when Hana first discovered the pendant of Skyreed. The phoenix held out the pendant, like it was giving it to Lucy. She didn't move at first, but the phoenix insisted. Lucy finally took it. The phoenix glared at her, like it was telling her to put it on. Lucy slowly obeyed, and she heard a voice.
"Finally, someone has come to lift the curse."
Lucy gasped and looked around. "W-Who's there?"
"Look in front of you, Celestial Mage."
"The...The phoenix? You can talk?"
"Yes. Lucy Heartfilia, you have come to perform the ritual, it may seem."
"Y-Yes...But I don't have the slightest idea how. Could you help me?"
The phoenix nodded obediently, and sudenly its eyes were filled with blazing fires. It had focused them on Lucy's eyes. Slowly, the symbol of the phoenix appeared in Lucy's pupils. Her voice changed. Like another voice had been merged with hers. She started to cite some sort of incantation, it seemed that the phoenix was dictating it to her through their minds. "O merciful Phoenix, the curse has been brought upon Skyreed. Every time the sun sets, horrible creatures of the night take over our souls. Hear our pleas and lift the curse, cast it out of Skyreed, banish all evil from us...forever!" Finally Lucy snapped out of her trance. Her eyes returned to normal and her breath had quickened.
"The curse has been lifted."
Lucy looked at the phoenix.
"But...I must ask you one last favor, Lucy Heartfilia."
"What is it?"
"Every seven years, the person who performs the ritual disappears. Even if you have lifted the curse, it will stay that way forever."
"What? So that's why Hana disappeared...Is there any way to stop the disappearances?"
"There is one way..."
Lucy leaned in closer.
"Destroy the pendant."
Lucy clutched it and backed away a few feet. "W-What?! B-But Shizu-sama said to bring it back to them!"
"That's because he doesn't know. If the pendant is destroyed, all who ever disappeared in the seventh year will return to normal! Shizukesa doesn't know where Hana is. "
"Then tell me!"
The phoenix did not answer her question. "Please. Please destroy the pendant, I beg of you!"
"Tell me why!"
"To save the villagers of Skyreed! It does not matter how many they send, they will all disappear when the seventh year comes! Please, trust me! Destroying the pendant will bring Skyreed peace once again!"
"Why should I trust you? You're the Phoenix! You're the one who brought the pendant to Hana in the first place!"
"I...I am not...the Phoenix...The Phoenix is...it's still out there. It is much bigger than me. And stronger. And if you don't destroy the pendant soon, the Phoenix will come and take me away for good."
"W-Who...Who are you?"
"I...I thought you would know by now...who I truly am..."
Lucy's eyes widened. Could it be? No...No, it's not possible...She's gone...This can't be her...But if the Phoenix is..."H...Hana?"
The phoenix nodded. "This...This will be the fate of all who disappear in the seventh...Doomed to be the slave of the Phoenix...Please, you have to save me. I just...I want to see my father again..."
Lucy took off the pendant. Now all she could hear was bird calls again. She stared at it for a moment, then called out to Natsu. "...Natsu?"
"Luce? What is it?"
"There's...been a change of plans..."
"What do you mean?"
Lucy looked at Hana with soft eyes, then lowered her voice. "We're not bringing back the pendant." Lucy threw the pendant to the ground as strong as she could, and it shattered to a million pieces. Moments later, the "phoenix" started to transform. She was finally put out of her misery she had experienced for the last fifteen years. A girl with long black hair was revealed. She had emerald eyes and her lips were full. Hana was beautiful. Like a blossoming flower.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I think the twist was totally expected. And I also think that the Revelation was boring. xD So sorry if it was. And if I'm overreacting, you guys better get used to it because my standards are so high that I can't even reach them. xD Anyhoo, did you guys like it?
