~NORMAL POV~
"See...When I, um...'died'...I felt my soul being separated from my body...I started floating up to the sky, even though it was against my will. I finally saw clouds dancing around me, and a bright light. I was awestruck. I couldn't take my eyes off of it. I got closer, and closer, I was almost completely through when I felt a hand grip my wrist. The next thing I knew, Loke was dragging me into the Spirit World." Lucy explained. Natsu was sitting opposite of her and their hands were tangled in each other.
"Your spirits...they saved you?"
Lucy nodded. "Yes...They had to use half of all the Zodiacs' power combined to open up a portal to the Spirit World and drag me in. They're not sure if they'll be able to fight for the next three days.They could have died, but they still did it for me." Lucy looked down on the ground.
"Lucy..." Natsu paused. "...I would have risked my life for you too."
Lucy looked at Natsu, surprised. He smiled at her, and soon her eyes softened and a broad grin spread on her face as well. "Thank you, Natsu...For everything..."
"Luce, I--...I just...I want to..."
"What is it? Tell me..." Lucy said gently, her voice smooth as silk, sending shivers down Natsu's spine.
Natsu kept on stammering and stuttering, not knowing how to say it to her.
Lucy looked at him, a tiny frown on her lips. "T-That's okay, Natsu...I know it's, um..." She removed her hand from his. "...Yeah..." Before Lucy walked past him, she stroked his soft hair lovingly. Lucy sat down on the stool and once again Lisanna broke the ice between them. "Let me guess...He's not ready yet?"
Lucy nervously rubbed her thighs against each other and stretched her hands against them. "W-Well...H-He hasn't...told me yet..."
"That's so tempting...You know that you love each other, but you can't kiss or do anything couples do because you're not official yet..."
"L-Lisanna...T-That's..."
"What you always wanted, right?"
"N-No! I j-just..." Lucy sighed longingly. She knew that Lisanna was right. She knew that Natsu loved her, and...
"Just what?" Lisanna raised an eyebrow, then shook her head. "Please tell me that by now you've realized that you love him. You have, right?"
Lucy looked at Natsu, who was seated on a table talking with Happy. "...I..." She took a deep breath. "Yeah...I have..."
~NATSU'S CONVERSATION WITH HAPPY~
After Lucy left, Happy once again engaged a conversation with his partner. "Ne, Natsu."
"...Hm?"
"Did you tell her that you love her already?"
"Happy! Someone might hear you!"
"Well, did you?"
"...No..."
Happy put his hands on his hips and his eyebrows slightly furrowed. "Natsu!"
"I couldn't! Just, not yet, I mean...I-I..."
Happy sighed, knowing that Natsu just wasn't ready. "Okay, okay, fine. But you have to promise me that you'll tell her someday."
"Happy, I--"
"Shush! Promise!" Happy snapped.
Natsu sighed in defeat. "Fine...I promise..."
"Oh!" Happy said. He reached for something. "Speaking of promises..."
~LUCY'S POV~
Natsu started walking up to me again. I looked at Lisanna and she nodded and left. Natsu seemed to be hiding something behind his back. I raised an eyebrow and a small smile curled on my lips. "What's that?"
"Something." Natsu grinned slyly, like a Chesire cat.
"What is it?" I asked a bit louder this time.
Natsu revealed to me what it was and he gave me a light pink rose. I silently gasped and took the flower. I took the scent in. Then I noticed a little note attached to the stem.
