They said if you don't let it out, you're gonna let it eat you away.

I'd rather be a cannibal baby,
Animals like me don't talk anyway.

Feel like an ambulance, chaser of faith.

Pray I could replace her.
Forget the way her tears taste.

Oh, the way her tears taste.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I woke up early knowing that it is Friday.
Free from my father,
free from homework.
I got dressed in a t-shirt and some jeans. (That's what I honestly wear on a daily basis.)
I grabbed my bag and walked out the door.
I decided to call Brendon and ask him if he is driving to school.
The phone rang for a while but he picked up.
"Yup?" I heard a familiar sleepy voice.
"Hey Bren, are you going to drive today?" I looked around to make sure my dad hasn't woke up yet.
"It's like four am why are you up?" He sounded like he was about to pass out any minute.
"Well, I don't really like to have to see my dad in the morning, he is not a morning person you know?"
"Well, school does not start for three hours.. Want me to pick you up?" He started to sound more awake.
"Yeah sure. As long as it's okay with you." I saw a light go on in the house then it went off.
"Okay I'll be there soon if I can make it past my brother, without him annoying me." He chuckled and hung up.
------------------------------------------
It was still really dark out. You could barely see the sky.
I sat down on the sidewalk and waited.
I finally saw a car pull up and the window went down.
"How much?" Brendon asked.
"This joke again?" I laughed.
"Well.." He added.
I got in the car and looked at him. He looked happy,
He did not look that tired.
But something was off.
"Hey Brendon, what happened yesterday?" His smile faded a bit and turned into a frown.
"Um well.. Your dad got mad, but I kinda deserved it I should of known that he was going to get mad." He tried not to look at me.
"Yes I know, but I saw you outside. You had your hand on your face, what really happened." I kept looking at his eye.
Brendon pulled over and reached over and opened the glove compartment. He pulled a napkin out of it and slammed it shut.
He then rubbed the napkin on his eye and revealed a huge purple mark around his eye.
I could barely get a word out. I have seen black eyes on movies and TV, but I have never seen one in real life. Or on someone I cared about for that matter.
Brendon kept a straight face and started driving again.
"Brendon?" I asked.
"I know, just please don't make a big deal out of it okay, it's not a big deal." He looked upset.
There is simply nothing worse than knowing how it ends.
And I meant everything I said that night, I will come back to life.
But only for you, only for you.
The rest of the car ride was silent.
I felt my heart sink. I felt like something I owned has been stolen.
When we finally went to his house he hesitated to open his door.
"My parents don't know yet." He said.
"They don't know what."
"They don't know that you're here, they don't know that I have a fucking black eye."
"Well I think it's best if they do find out now" I tried to calm him down.
He sighed and opened the door.
No one was downstairs from the looks of it.
Then.
Someone came running down the stairs.
His mom.
"Brendon where were you? And what happened to your eye?" She came running to him.
"I just fell..." He said
"Nonsense, tell me what happened Brendon Boyd Urie!"
His middle name is Boyd!
I don't know why I found humor in that.
"So I got punched, I'm fine." He laughed it off nervously.
"But it could get infected!" She said grabbing his arm. "Get in that bathroom right now!"
She pulled him into the bathroom and I being the snoopy asshole I am followed him.
She had the cabinet open with some medical alcohol, Cotten balls, and medical tape.
She kinda reminded me of my mom how when we did not have band-aids she had a box full of medical supplies.
It looked painful as fuck when the alcohol went on the bruise. Brendon kept flinching. I felt so bad, I wanted to do something but I stayed out of her way.
Finally she put the "bandage" on his eye and talked to him for a bit.
Brendon got up and went to his room with me following.
"Fuck." He said when I shut the door.
"So, how was that?" I said nervously.
"Well it was about more painful than getting punched, minus the blood. it fucking stings like hell. I almost cussed, but then my mom would kick my ass." He smiled.
I looked at the clock, 7:20.
"Brendon it's time to go to school.."
"Yeah I know, do you think if I wear eyeliner people won't notice this huge ass thing on my eye?" He laughed.
--------------------------------------------
We arrived to school and everyone was already staring.
Some people were whispering.
Others did not give any shits.
We walked to Brendon's locker and Ryan was there.
"What the fuck happened to your eye?" Ryan was very concerned.
Ryan looked probably the same way I looked when I found out, and before Ryan had time to sat anything the bell rang.
