       There were only two of us left now. I had a pretty good feeling I knew who it was too. Most likely Demetria and I bet she had her axe towing along with her. Dang it. I left Ravens blow gun with her. That means her blow gun is out of the arena with her. At least I still have the sword she gave me. I reach my hand down to feel its presence but my hand is empty. "What the-?"

         Did I leave my sword laying next Raven? Crap. I must have. That means that my two best weapons are out of the arena. All I had was the knife that I was able to swipe from the Cornucopia the first day. A small hunting knife against a lethal Career armed with an axe. This will be interesting.

      "I can still do this. I can still win." I tell myself aloud. Raven saved my life; I'm not going to just give up on it now.

      I decide to bring the fight to the blonde girl Demetria. She probably already tracking Raven and I, so, she is most likely close. The sun was going to set in a few hours and I wanted this to just be over. I didn't want the Game Makers to have to wake me in my sleep by some type of avalanche, fire or mutation attack to bring me close enough for me and Demetria to fight.

~~~
      It didn't take long for me and Demetria to find each other. Only about an hour or so. The whole arena had gone quiet. The birds stopped chirping, the squirrels stopped scurrying and even the streams stopped trickling. The Game Makers made it pretty obvious that she was getting closer. I had known she was behind me, sneaking, for a few minutes. I was just curious as to what she would do and waiting for the right moment.
        One thing I had noticed about her in this whole arena, was that she always let out a battle cry, each time she was about to swing her axe. It was like she was born for fighting but unfortunately for her, her battle cry would reveal her presence. At least, that's what I was counting on.
        The blonde girl with the axe let's out her blood curdling scream. I was expecting it so I immediately roll to my left. She misses my head by inches, I can hear the swoosh of her axe as it glides inches from my head. I firmly grasp my hunting knife and swipe at her leg. I connect with her inner right thigh and leave a deep gash. Blood swims out as she lets out a cry. She swings her deadly axe again at my head. I duck but not enough. She manages to connect with top of my shoulder blade.
      "Ahh!" I cry out. A plethora of pain overcomes my entire back. I fall to the ground. I'm sure she just shattered my left shoulder blade and sliced me open pretty good. I fall to the ground unable to get up. I want to lay there and give up and wait for my mother to come and make the pain go away like she always did when I was a kid and when she healed my older brother when he lost his hand at the coal mines.
       But this was the Hunger Games and that meant I had to survive. I rolled away from the girl named Demetria. She shouted another battle cry so I kept rolling. She misses me again and I sweep my legs at her. "Ugh!" she grunts, as she falls on her back. I stand up and ignore the pain burning from my shoulder. Luckily, the adrenaline has kicked in as well as my anger. I can only imagine what my shoulder really feels like when the adrenaline fades away.
       I grab my hunting knife and jump on top of her. I am about to slice her throat when she knees me in the groin and throws me off of her, but not before I stab her in her side. I rip the blade from her stomach down to her pelvic bone. She cries out and kicks me in the face re-braking my nose. She stands up and checks out her wound which gives me enough time to recover and go in for another attack. I lunge at her throat once more but she is faster.
    She swings her blood covered axe around her head and grabs my wrist, stopping my melee attack. I am stronger though so I am still able to overpower her and connect my knife to her eye. I dig down deep, blinding her in her left eye. But not deep enough to hit her brain because she brings her axe down hard and fast right into the pit of my stomach.
