I stared at my white paws as I sat next to Greymuzzle's body. He was like my father, he taught me everything about medicine and now he was gone. A tear fell from my eye and hit the dry, fire burnt ground. The fire had taken everything I had ever loved...my home and Greymuzzle.
A soft tail rested on my side. I looked up to see Rainstar. "You have cats to heal. He hunts with StarClan now." She said sadly. A growl rose in my throat. "Am I not allowed to mourn?" I snarled and bared by sharp, white teeth. "Icepaw that's not what I mean." She gasped.
I knocked her to the ground and snarled. "This life went by fast didn't it?" I snarled and sunk my claws into her throat. Her eyes danced with anger and fear. "Icepaw l-let me g-go!" She pleaded as hot, sticky blood bubbled at her throat. I sunk my claws deeper. "Too bad this was your last life. I am the medicine cat...Im supposed to heal, look how that turned out." He said snickering. A pitiful yowl came from her throat. "Stop struggling." I grinned as she squirmed under me. "Sorry, not sorry!" I snarled and ripped my claws through her throat as she took her final breath.
Her vibrant blue eyes became a dull, life less blue. I climbed off of her and turned around. I kicked some dust on her body and then grabbed her.
I dragged her to the edge of the territory that was cut off by a monster path. It was a drop off so I could throw her body there. "Goodbye Rainstar." I said as I threw her body onto the monster path.
I could hear the sound of a monster hitting her and started to walk away proud.
I stopped by the river to wash her scent off of me. "Kill someone?" I heard a familar voice say behind me. I turned lo to see Dapplepaw. "Oh its just you and for your information no." I huffed and sat down. The pretty she-cat sat down next to me. "You seem..edgy."She said as she looked around at her surroundings.
I rolled my eyes. "Whatever." I stood up and turned to head back to camp. "See ya Dapplepaw. "I said padding off.
I padded into my den and sat down. A few cats had come to ask me questions about burn marks and I just gave them some comfery.
I laid down in my nest that night and looked at my white paws. They felt wet and sticky. I looked at them as they turned a crimson red and the scent of blood filled my nostrils. Rainstar's pleading words rang in my ears and I saw her screaming for mercy.
I woke with a start, my heart racing. "It was just a dream." He said sighing with relief.
