Chapter 22:Happiness/Sadness

It's been an amazing month because my loving boyfriend and I are stronger than ever.

Trevor and I have been together for a whole month and two weeks.

We are taking things slow and Chris finally left my house but he made sure we were ok before he left.

Sandy and I are no longer friends only because she hasn't tried to fix things between us but I could care less.

Because I have a new amazing best friend named Brittany who happens to be mixed raced but is very beautiful and trustworthy.

Jacob has been really shady and distant ever since I started dating trevor and by shady and distant I mean he doesn't talk to me at all he only stares at me from a distance and when I look at him he looks away.

He sometimes snickers or throws a rude remark when ever trevor and I walk past Him and his friends and it's kinda getting on my nerves.

I hopped out of bed and I pulled out a red ovoxo sweat shirt that I stole from trevor,black leggings,my timberlands and a black beanie that says on fleek in white.

I went into my bathroom and I did my usual hygiene routine.

I put on my clothes and I headed downstairs.

I smelled smoke and I thought there was a fire in the kitchen.

I quickly ran down the stairs only to find my mom sitting by the dinning table sniffing and a cigarette in hand.

I looked at her confused because my mother hadn't smoked In years and why was she still here at home at this time.

I looked closely and she had a bunch of papers on the table and it looked like she was crying.

"Mom are you ok?"I asked as I rubbed her back in hopes to soothe her in whatever it is that she's going through.

"Oh hey hunny I'm fine"she replied weakly.

"You sure ?"I asked not really believing her.

"Yes I'm absoulty fine now get to school"she said putting on a weak smile

I hugged her which is something I don't usually do to either of my parents.

"You now I love you right"I said into the hug

She hugged me back and nodded.

"I love you too"she said before kissing my cheek.

"Please throw that cancerous stick away"I said causing her to giggle

"Ok"she said as she threw the remaining burnt out piece onto her ashtray.

I kissed her forehead and I walked out the house.

"Phile"I heard her call out to me before I began my walk to school.

"Yes mother"I said as I turned around.

"Take this"she said as she gave me a pair of keys.

My eyes widened in shock.

"Its keys to the car I bought for you on your sweet sixteen party and I want you to use it"I took the keys and I hugged her tightly

The only reason why I never drove the car was because my father didn't want me too drive it.

I unlocked the car that was in the garage and I hopped into it.

I started the engine feeling sixteen again.

I reversed and I blew a kiss and I thanked my mom for the millionth time before driving off.
