This is one of my first stories, others are not published, but enjoy..

Beth's P.O.V.:

The button on her shirt squeeze her body slightly, and she groans with a hint of pain.

I have to look this way, She said to herself in her head.

She walked into the huge glass building with her coffee in hand, black corset squeezing her sides, mat black heels clicking on the floor.

"Hello Ms. Pierce, Good morning." The voices rang over and over as people spoke to her, and she gave them all a sly smile as she nods her head to the elevator boy to send her up.

"See you later, Pierce." Elevator boy spoke, A.K.A. Clouse.

"Clouse," She said dangerously with a tight smile, stepping into the elevator, sighing as the doors closed; rushing her to the top floor of Pierce Consolidated, her book publishing company.

"Good morning!" Many people rang though the office as she walked the black carpet to her office, a carpet no one else was allowed to step on.

"Good morning my slaves, now that I'm present. Get publishing." She said darkly, but with a huge smile, while closing the glass doors to her huge circle office.

She sat on her desk and sighed, but not before taking a sip of her dark coffee.

Everything in her building was black, or blood red. It spoke who she was before you even knew her. Nobody in town messed with Ms. Elizabeth Pierce.

Time to get to work, She hummed to herself in her head.

A ringing filled the room as she stared at her telephone, she counted the rings from it.

1.. 2.. 3.,Then she snatched it up before the 4th.

"Pierce," She said hardly, waiting for the person on the other line to speak.

"Is that the way you greet your Mother these days? Lord! I will come down there and I WILL fix that attitude Elizabeth Shay!" She sighed as her monster of a Mother spoke.

"Sorry Mummy," She said sweetly. "How are you today, Beautiful?" She quickly recovered her harsh tones with a sweet fake one.

"Oh you.. I do look rather dolly today don't I? Wait you can't see me, silly me! Say, I phoned you to ask if you'd love to have lunch this afternoon, Love, what do you say?"

"You know I wouldn't have it any other way Mother." She said tightly, but her Mother missed it with a joy tone and hung up.

Kill me now please, she thought.

She put the phone back on its hook and she began typing away a book she was trying to finish, just before a deep voice spoke, sending chills through her body, becoming alert.

"If that's what you wish, Beth." She looked up catching who the vice belongs to.

"Hello Damon." She said sharply, before standing up with her palms resting on her glass desk.
