The Deal

'Hahaahahaha' she laughed so coldly.

The whip around his neck was so tight blood leeked from it. 'No please stop' I cried.

He looked at me in pure disgust. 'I'm so sorry,' I cried 'I can't help you even if I wanted to'.

His eyes were to painful to even look at, they showed understanding and even wosre love. 'Mercy' he croaked.

She grabbed her pistol. That pistol the one she only used when she only wanted someone to suffer so much.

'Please No' I said sinking to my knees.

She aimed it at his heart. 'No Please I surrender don't hurt him' I cried, my tears falling down so fast.

'Too Late' she laughed and cocked it. 'NNNNOOOO' I screamed.

I woke up in a cold sweat. My heart bounding from the dream.... or vision.

I looked at the clock 4:00 A.M. it blinked.

I sighed and lifted the covers off of my body and got out of the bed.

That dream had scared me. 'I need to calm down' I thought to myself.

I went to my suit case and grabbed my old hairbrush, the one my mother used and began to brush my hair.

I never knew why but I always calms me or maybe I did because my mother used to brush my hair and she was always able to calm me.

I placed the hairbrush on the vainity in the room and looked in the mirror. No matter what I did he would always be part of me dead or alive.

I sighed and crawled back into bed waiting for the next nightmare to come....

"WAKE UP YOU LAZY BUM" I ignored it and went on sleeping.

Next, thing I knew I was on the floor. I groaned and opened my eye. Kid was standing over me, face red with anger.

"GET UP AND GET DRESSED ITS BREAKFAST" He said almost kicking me.

"Kid," Liz cried "I told you to wake her up not beat her to death" trying to pull Kid off of me.

"It's 8:04, She is makng my late for-" Kid was cut off by Liz slamming the door shut.

I sighed 'That must be normal here'. I slipped out of my Pajama's and but on a pair of jeans, a white tee shirt and a striped hoodie. I looked in the mirror at the vanity my hair looked like a storm cloud.

I picked up the brush and began to comb my hair. Unforunately, the song my mother used to sing, the one I used to take away people's lives was in my head.

Instinctively, I undid my bandids and  closed my eyes, it was always better if I did that. I began to sing as I brushed my hair.

I guess I should start with the rising scene over the city.

The busiest extras sit drinking their tea,

trying hard to be seen.

Not quite stars, but well on their way,

through mechanical breathing and controllable thinking.

But enough about no ones, back to my show.

I'll tell you a story about someone I know.

And he sang out, while everyone's whispering,

about things that shouldn't matter.

All they care about is who they came with to the show.

Here's your lines, say them right, they go...

"What does he think that he's trying to prove?

Oh and where does he get off using those moves?

It's opening night and he's hogging my spotlight.

Baby, there ain't room for two."

"Kill the lights," he screams.

"Watch me shine," he sings,

"La da da da da da"

If there's a way from this stage to the top of the world,

I'll be there.

Watch me turn all of these "no's" into "wow's"

into "How could the crowd be so blinded with doubt?"

He won't mind them much longer, despite all their laughter.

He knows the one who laughs last is the one who laughs loudest.

Enough is enough, no more time for charades.

His mind racing like his pulse, he was fed up with these games.

No more reaching or needing these "not-quite friends."

They made a puppet out of me, I'll make a puppet out of them.

With a pocket full of strings and an arsenal of wits,

in a matter of time they'll be screaming his name.

He could smell the sweet roses sail towards the stage.

Now the house lights are dimming.

The show is beginning.

Please take your seats.

Oh, and thank you for coming.

A marvelous thing, I raise both my hands,

as I make them all sing

"La da da-" I stopped myself short when in the mirror  I saw them.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE!!!!!!" I shouted as my hands shot to cover my eye.

"Nothing w-we just heard ou singing and-" Kid tried to explain.

"YOUR AMAZING" Patti shouted waving her arms like an idiot.

"I need to show this to everyone" Liz said aiming her phone at me.

I was so embarrassed. That song if everyone knew it would I thought to myself.

"GET OUT" I shouted losing control of my anger. "W-we didn't mean to-" KId shuttered. I threw the brush as them but, KId was fast enough and closed the door before it could hit them.

But, I didnt get so lucky the brush hit the door and broke. "Oh no" I said picking up the pieces. I started to cry, the only thing I had left of my mother was destroyed and even worse I was the one to do it.

Her voice laughed at me sounding almost like his. I looked up she was sitting on the bed smiling at me. "Next thing you lose control I take over" she laughed. I looked away and she lefted.

Control was I losing control....
