Chapter 3: The Deal part two
I walked down the stairs. I appeared no one was home, hopefully. I sighed in relief as I reached the bottom step.
\"Now I don\'t have to explain my self\" I thought to myself.
I walked into the kitchen there was a bagel and a note. I was eating the bagel when I read it.
Dear Mercy,
We all went out for stuff for the party next week. Later, the \"Team\" is going for pizza and we\'ll play basketball. I know you\'re busy but, if you could please tag along. We all want to know more about you since you\'re new to the team.

P.S. Kid feels really bad about what happened this morning so please talk to him
I thought about it pizza would be nice, I haven\'t had it in a while, and WHAT AM I THINKING I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT WITH DEATH....NOW.
I ran out the door \"Crap crap crap CRAP\"

\"She\'s late\" Stein said to Death.
\"Why are we all here?\" Spirit complained \"I was talking with my Maka\"
\"Yes why are we here, it is Saturday?\" Marie asked.
\"Who is she?\" Yumi asked abjusting her glasses.
\"Oh dear she is late, Stein\" Death said completely ignoring them.
\"WHO IS SHE?\" Spirit asked again irrated.
"She is Mercy Issac, the newest member of your daughter's team Spirit. We were supposed to talk about her contract" Death explained.
\"Oh, then where is she?\" Marie asked.
\"Oh great and wonderful Lord Death why have you called upon all of us today\" Justin asked listening to his music.
Spirit walked up to him and ripped the earphones out screaming \"Goddammit man would you the earphones out for a minute!!\".
Suddenly, a girl came running in with sweat dripping down her face.
\"Mercy thanks for joining us\" Death said.
Mercy panted out \"I\'m so sorry..... it\'s just I.... had a little problem with m-my...... new roommates this morning\".
\"It\'s ok and who are you\'re new roomates \" Death asked.
Mercy stopped for a second \"Ahhhh ummm I\'m sort of staying with...\" She shuttered and twirled a piece of her curly gray hair in her finger.
\"With who\" Death asked curiously.
\"I\'m staying with...\" she said voice becoming a whisper.
\"Who?\" Death asked placing a hand on his ear.
Mercy blushed and lowered her head.
\"Who?\" Deah asked
"A kid" Mercy said avoiding eye contact.
"A Kid...." Death repeated.
"SHE MEANS KID FOR CHRIST SAKE" Spirit yelled.
Death frowned at her, "I told you to stay away from him".
"I know but he offered me a place to stay" Mercy pleaded.
"Why is it so important she stays away from Kid" Marie asked
"Anyway we need to dicuss your er.. problem\" Death said ignoring her.
Mercy lifted her wet head \"What problem?\"
\"You see we need you to sign a contract stating that we will protect you in exchange for the promise that you will never use your full... potenial\" Death said awkardly.
\"What!!!!\" Marie said \"How can you not ask a student to try their hardest?\"
\"I argee with Marie It seems a little....\" Yumi said
\"It\'s ok\" Mercy said to them but, her face showed she was anything but ok.
\"Where do I sign?\" she asked swallowing a gulp of air.
Stein produced a single paged contract Death already signed.
Mercy looked at Death nervously. Death just nodded and handed her a pen.
'If I sign this, he'll come I know he will, but I need safety I need to stay away from him'
Mercy thought looking at the pen as she signed.
"OK" Death said turning to the death scythes "If you too would sign"
"What?" Spirit said.
"Mercy needs protection" Stein said
"FROM WHAT" Spirit asked.
Death turned to Stein "Could you please take Mercy to her new team please?"
Stein nodded and took Mercy out of the room.
"Who does she need protection from?" Yumi asked.
"The Kishin" Death replied.

"You're causing Death alot of trouble" Stein said to the young girl as they exited the DWMA.
Mercy sighed "I know and I don't need to... I guess it's in my blood"
Stein smiled, there was something about the girl that he liked but, he couldn't put his finger on it.
Mercy looked at him "Ummm where are we going?" she asked as they entered Death City.
Mercy stared at the people and buildings with awe, she had never seen so many up close.
"You're going to go to your new team and act as normal as possible" Stein explained.
"Define normal" Mercy huffed.
Stein patted the girl's head awkwardly "Relax what's the worse that could happen"
Mercy gave him a look.
"Yo Mercy" a voice cried out.
Mercy turned to see the team entering the basketball court and Liz waving furious at her.
Mercy turned to talk to Stein but he was gone.
She turned back to Liz who was now running towards her with the rest of the group.
Mercy groaned silently to herself this was going to be a long day.
