Chapter 4 Broken Promises

Next morning came with a dull beginning. Although Ayush didn't wanted to but he still woke up on time, he knew if he won't wake up on time both his brothers will get even more worried thinking about his health. He so wanted to go to college but aryamaan has told him to stay back home and veer has asked him to be a little patient before talking to aryamaan about it again. He got up and got ready half-heartedly and went down to the dining area to have his breakfast. Soon he was joined by his brothers. As usual veer joined them with a charming smile on his face whereas aryamaan was all serious. Ayush wished both of them.

Ayush "good morning bhaiya, good morning bhai" He said smiling.

Aryamaan "good morning beta. How are you feeling."

Ayush "I am fine bhaiya." He said feeling guilty. Every morning his bhaiya will ask him the very same question as soon as he wishes him. "I have really managed to suck out all the happiness out of my own brother's life" He thought sadly.

Veer saw ayush and knew he was sad. He tapped on his hand "aaj kyun udaas hai aap ayush ji. Aaj to waise bhi volcano hume games aur naya laptop dilane le kar jaa rahe hai."

Ayush remembered what aryamaan told him last night and a smile came on his face. He really wanted to go out but more than that he wanted both his brothers to go out and do something else other than attending their office and his hospital visits.

Ayush "hum breakfast karke chalenge na bhaiya?"

Aryamaan really meant to take ayush out last night but now he was not so sure. He was not sure if it's really a good idea to take ayush out. It can be tiring for him and the malls are always running their air conditioning systems at full blast. Ayush could catch cold that way. What if he gets an infection from people in the mall? He might even feel disheartened looking at the various games and food which he can't enjoy. He was just thinking all this when ayush spoke to him again.

Ayush "bataiye na bhaiya, chalenge na hum breakfast karke?"

Aryamaan came out of his thoughts "huh, kya bataun?"

Ayush "breakfast karke mall chalenge na hum?"

Aryamaan "ashu beta itni jaldi thodi na mall open hota hai, let's do one thing, aaj meri ek meeting hai thodi der me main wo khatam karke aata hu fir we can go to the mall. Okay?"

Ayush nodded his head "haanji bhaiya, no problem. Par pls aap jaldi aa jana."

Aryamaan nodded at him. And all three had their breakfast. As soon as their breakfast was finished aryamaan got up to leave for his office but saw veer still comfortably sitting.

Aryamaan "tujhe office nahi jana aaj?" He asked veer.

Veer shook his head "no, aaj main poora din free hu, kal jaise hi Tu naya laptop dilane ke liye mana maine tabhi apna poora din clear kar diya tha. Ab tujhe lootne ke moke baar baar thodi na aate hai."

Aryamaan rolled his eyes at him "whatever. Ashu bachcha Tu tab tak pls rest karna. It might get tiring for you later on. Theek hai?"

Ayush "ji bhaiya, jab tak aap nahi aaoge tab tak aur kuch nahi bas rest karunga. Par pls aap jaldi aa jana."

Aryamaan smiled at him "sure. Bye beta, take care."

Ayush "bye bhaiya"

Veer "bye volcano, jaldi aana, aur pls aate waqt kisi par beech me erupt hone ke liye mat ruk jana."
