Note: So... it's been a while. I'll have to say I do feel bad about not updating as I used to. But my life got really messed up then I lost the hyperfixation.

However, I spent so many years stuck on Danganronpa I kinda... have retained most of what I memorized about the entire franchise lol! That is good though, because I missed this story and I did actually have a draft saved from ages ago. And suddenly... I felt motivated to finish it. So that's another chapter out!

I will admit that I haven't reread my story recently so maaaybe there's some inconsistencies about the plot and stuff. I'll look over later, for now I just want to publish this finally! I hope anyone who is still thinking about this enjoys ^^

(I updated this a while ago but forgot to put it here oops... I saw the news for 2x2 I wonder how many of y'all are pumped cuz I sure am lol.)

Nagito gave him a look of uncertainty immediately after those words left his mouth.

All he could do now was tell him to trust in his words and Nagito nodded slowly with tired eyes that seemed to say "I already trust every single word you utter".

He squeezed his hand and gave him a smile before dashing out of his room.

He quickly found Mikan who had been fumbling about doing not much of anything — as predicted.

He told Mikan to not tell anyone at school about the things they figured out tonight. To let them rumor about and wonder all they like, but no one finds out unless Makoto allows it.

Mikan, not having any fight left in her, nodded silently and Makoto was off once again.

Makoto ignores all the vibrations from his form as he makes his way back home on foot, head buzzing with everything he's learned.

His forced and ingenuine calm demeanor is starting to crack, he can feel it. He has to keep it up though, until he's back home.

Everything feels so slow and fast at the same time. He's got a timer with no visible countdown...and yet he swears he won't just let it reach the end.

As he gets to the house door he shuffles quickly inside and up stairs to his room, ignoring the murmurs and shouts from his family.

Komaru had noticed how dark it's gotten outside, but didn't think much of it at the time. Sure it was technically a school night but being late to the first day isn't that big of a deal. She figured Makoto and his friends were just having that great of a time.

And perhaps he finally scored after shooting his shot.

What?

Of course she knew about the plans he'd been cooking up.

And she'd been all for it, she'd never seen her brother so happy in his whole life.

Komaeda had really changed his life for the better, she couldn't be more accepting of those two getting together. She knows it'll happen. It's just a matter of when.

But it was when Komaru texted Toko asking how things were going and if she was having fun that things took a turn.

An instant reply and her stomach dropped upon reading it.

Their theme park trip had ended hours ago.

She had been worried sick about her brother from the moment he heard from Toko that their theme park trip had ended hours ago. She didn't know why either, stating that apparently something happened to Komaeda. Some kind of accident.

Toko didn't know more than that; she hadn't cared to get more details.

Komaru's face went pale. Clearly something was wrong. She didn't hesitate to tell her mom or dad, hoping maybe they could get a hold of Makoto.
