Once I had finally decided my order and received it, we all decided to go and grab a table upstairs; well by "we" I mean Eddy.
I didn't realise how hungry I was when we sat down and tucked in. Salty fries, mouth watering chicken nuggets, no one could beat it. Every so often me and Jake would take a glance and smile with food in our hands, 'mms's' and 'ahhh's' being shared every second.
"So after we have finished our lunch, I was thinking you two could have a wander about for a bit whilst I drag eddy along to get some holiday bits? Sarah asked.
"No Eddy don't want to go holiday shopping!" He shouted.
"Well I'm afraid you'll have to Eddy" Sarah groaned.
"Okay that sounds cool" Jake exclaimed.
"Mia?"
I nodded, "Yes that's fine" I smiled.
Once we had finished our lunch, we grabbed our few bags of shopping and went back to the mall. I was wondering whether this would be a good time to tell Jake the news; the only thing stopping me was the reaction I would then receive. Me and Jake have never kept secrets from each other and I don't think he'll be very happy once I tell him.
"So where do you want to go then?" Jake asked, breaking my moment of thoughts.
I jumped and looked up at him, "Well if you don't mind, I would like to go to the lanes." I replied.
The lanes and the sea was my favourite part of Brighton. The cobble paths and the small little shops make me feel as if I'm in a fairy tail. The sound of the sea coming into the sore from the pier makes me feel relaxed, and the smell of scented candles and yummy salads from dainty shops and cafes makes me want to buy everything from every shop.
"So do you fancy going to get a hot chocolate from Café Crème?" I asked.
Café Crème was our favourite café for hot chocolates; we have been their so many times that whenever I think about the sweet drink, with marshmallows and whipped cream, I can taste the flavour in my mouth.
"Why wouldn't I!" Jake exclaimed, as he guided me through the little wooden door with the bell making a ding as we walked in.

I found a seat at a table in the window, whilst Jake went and ordered our hot chocolates. I took out my phone from my pocket and noticed I had 3 text messages. I opened the first one which was from mum, it read:
Hey honey! How are you? How's your day been? xxx
I quickly sent a reply:
Hi mum, it's been good thanks! Me and Jake are currently in Café Crème getting hot chocolates.... Would you like me to bring back any cupcakes or anything? xxx
My mum loves the cupcakes they do in Café Crème; they do so many flavours and styles its unreal!
I put my phone back in my trouser pocket and didn't bother looking at the other messages as Jake came over with our hot chocolates.
"Ooo these look lovely!" I exclaimed breathing in the smell. I handed Jake the money and we both grabbed a spoon.
"I know right! That whipped cream looks so delicious!" Jake replied, and we both dug in to our hot chocolates.
As we were eating our whipped cream we were both in fits of laughter; somehow we were both getting it everywhere and by everywhere I mean on our faces.
"I feel as full as a balloon about to pop!" I exclaimed once we had finished, "McDonald's and then a hot chocolate straight after!"
"I know right!" Jake exclaimed, and we were both in fits of giggles again.
I quickly checked my phone again to see if my mum replied.
"Right should we go then?" Jake asked.
"Yes but first I need to go and quickly buy mum a few cupcakes!" I exclaimed; it turned out that mum wanted raspberry, vanilla, and chocolate cupcakes.
As I went to the counter with my change I looked at all of the cupcakes in the window. There were so many! Strawberry, to Dark Chocolate, to Coconut you name them all.
The lady at the counter looked at me and smiled.
"So how can I help you?" She offered.
"Can I get a few cupcakes please?" I asked smiling back at the lady.
"You sure can!" She replied, "What flavours would you like?"
"Raspberry, Vanilla and Chocolate please" I exclaimed.
The lady smiled again, "Good choice!" She cried and grabbed the three cupcakes from the trays underneath the window.
"Here you are!" She exclaimed, handing me a small pink box with the cupcakes inside.
"Thankyou!" I replied, and handed her the change.
As I walked back to our table, Jake was gathering his stuff.
"Ready to go then?" He asked.
"Yes ready to go!" I replied. And we walked out of the café.

After our hot chocolates, we headed for the shops round the corner of the café. I decided that once we had done our shopping, it would be a good time to tell Jake the news.
"Well I think we should better head off to meet mum, it's nearly three o'clock!" Jake exclaimed.
"Okay sure, that's fine!" I replied, and we started walking in the direction of the mall. Perfect timing to tell Jake the news!
As we were reaching the bus stop, I began talking to Jake.
"Okay Jake, can I talk to you for a second?" As we stopped at the bus stop, where we were meeting Sarah.
"Yeah of course" He exclaimed, luckily Sarah wasn't there yet.
"Okay so on Saturday night, I began thinking about something. Because you know that my dad left me and my mum when I was only a baby?" I began,
"Yes.." Jake replied.
"Well...."
"Ah there you are!" Sarah exclaimed, walking up to us with Eddy and big bags of Primark shopping.
Ugh why did Sarah have to come and ruin the moment just as I was about to tell the news! My inner voice was telling me.
"Ah hi mum! How was shopping?" Jake exclaimed walking up to Sarah. Then they started talking about how we went to Café Crème and got hot chocolates and then went shopping in the lanes.
My moment was lost.
