Baby Winchesters

Chapter 24

I woke to my daughter screaming, rolling over and smiling as Ellen rolled into my spot I got up and walked over to the cot and leant in grabbing my daughter, I cradled her to my chest and reached for the dummy placing it into her mouth and smiled as Ally snuggled down but was still crying. I walked over to the changing table and placed her down on the top and smiled as she was kicking her legs, un-snapping the onesie my daughter was wearing I slid it off her feet and undone her nappy so I could change her, I smiled as she grabbed the packet of baby wipes and went to putting them into her mouth drooling all over the packet. I gently took the packet out of her hands and watched as the tears came again, "shh... look you can have them back princess" I said taking a few wipes and handing them back to her.

Ally smiled and went back to eating the packet of wipes while I cleaned her up and changed her into a new nappy, putting her onesie back on her, I snapped the buttons back into place and picked my daughter up and walking out of the room, looking at the clock I could see that it was 4 in the morning and I looked down to my little girl and smirked, "well I hope you go back to sleep, it's too early to be awake" I said walking down the stairs and into the kitchen.

I placed my daughter down in the Moses basket and pulled her near me while I went to making a bottle up for my daughter, humming and watching as Ally was moving around a lot I turned to the microwave and smiled as the bottle was done, testing the bottle on my arm and finding it the right temperature I picked my daughter up and walked over to the rocking chair in the living room and sat down rearranging my daughter so she was in the crook of my arm and pushed the bottle into her mouth, smiling as she latched I started to rock and hum hoping that I could get my daughter off to sleep.

--- Next morning ---

I woke as I was stilling in the rocking chair with my daughter still in my arms, getting up I walked into the kitchen and saw the Bobby was awake and drinking the coffee and reading a paper, "morning" I said placing Ally down in the Moses basket and covering her with a blanket.

Bobby looked up and smiled, "morning, she okay" Bobby asked me.

I nodded, "she woke crying, needed changing and a bottle. Sat down in the rocking chair and rocked her to sleep, must of fell to sleep myself" I said wiping my hand over my face and looking down.

"Well I came down an hour ago and saw you asleep, thought that it would be best to leave you to sleep" bobby said to me.

I nodded and smiled, "thanks for that, well I'm going to check on the other three as Ellen put them to bed, fancy making some pancakes" I asked.

Bobby smirked and nodded, "of course" Bobby said walking over to the cooker and got the ingredients out for the pancakes.

Walking up the stairs I opened the door to where Sam, Dean and Jo were all sleeping and smiled as Dean and Jo were awake and playing quietly, "thank you for being quiet and not waking your brother, come on let's get you changed for the day" I said walking over to the duffle bag and grabbed some jeans, tee-shirt and plaid shirt for Dean and some jeans and a top for Jo.

I grabbed two pull ups and some wipes and walked over to the beds and smiled as Dean held his arms up, picking my son up I placed him down on the bed and went to changing him for the day. I placed Dean down and picked Jo up who looked at me, "can I wear my dress daddy" Jo asked still not noticing the slip.

Dean noticed and smiled, "daddy her clothes have been packed up" Dean said to me.

I nodded and walked over to the box that said Jo's clothes and opened the box grabbing a pink dress, tights and shoes and walking back over to Jo and smiling, "come on then" I said and picked her up gently laying her down on the bed.

I got Jo dressed and put a brush through her hair and turned to her, "do you want your hair up or down" I asked.

Jo looked up at me and smiled, "up please" she asked.

I nodded and grabbed a hair bubble and went to putting her hair up and smiled as she hugged me, "thanks, can we play now" she asked.

I nodded and watched as they ran out of the room and down stairs to where I could hear bobby telling them to slow down, knowing that they were in safe hands I walked over to Sam and picked him up smiling as he whined, "come on sleepy head, do you want a nappy or pull up" I asked Sam.

"Napy" Sam mumbled.

I nodded and walked over to the changing table and placed him down and smiled as he slipped his thumb back into his mouth and sucked, pulling his thumb out and hearing him whine, I replaced it with his dummy and went to changing him for the day, knowing that this was going to be a long day, I dressed Sam as I would Ally in a onesie for the day so they were comfy. Hearing a creak I turned around to see that Ellen was stood there with a smile on her face "Johnny" Ellen said to me.

I looked up and smiled, "hey" I said walking over to her with Sammy in my arms.

Ellen smiled and ran her hand through Sammy's hair, "where are the other two" Ellen asked me.

I smiled and turned my head down the stairs where you could hear Jo singing and Dean questioning Bobby about something. Wondering why Dean was questioning Bobby I poked my head down the stairs and saw that there was a woman on the sofa looking worried, "sorry, did not know we had company" I said looking to bobby.

Bobby smiled, "sorry, this is Melissa, Melissa this is John and Ellen" Bobby said.

I lifted Sammy on my hip and walked over to shake her hand, "hi, how can I help you" I asked.

She smiled, "I work for the state and realised that your three children are not registered for school" she said to me.

I smiled and nodded, "that's because my children are home schooled, my wife Ellen is a school teacher and she decided that she would teach our children, I mean with us moving around the time, it is easier that putting them in school to take them back out" I explained.

She nodded and smiled, "well we have a new school work for the year for the children so I will get your wife a copy of it. It was nice to meet you Mr..." she said to me.

Ellen smiled and walked over, "Johnson, Ellen" she said holding her hand out.

Melissa took it and smiled, "well I must be going, as it looks like your youngest has fallen back to sleep" she said looking to Sam.

I looked down and smiled, seeing that Sammy was asleep and sucking on the dummy I walked Melissa out of the house and turned to face Ellen, "well two out of four are awake" I said.

Ellen laughed and nodded, "well why don't you put our little boy back to bed and I will round up the munchkins" Ellen said to me.

I nodded and walked back up the stairs walking into our room and checking on Ally and seeing that she was on her tummy again with her bum in the air, chuckling I walked over to the bed and placed Sammy down in the middle of the bed and placed pillows around him making sure that he did not fall out. I pulled a blanket over him and closed the door walking back down stairs to see Dean and Jo looking up at me.
