October 2024

The alarm beside our hotel bed blared loudly and the sun was barely peeking through a crack in the curtains. I shuffled awake and pulled my fiancé Steven closer to me once I remembered that my arms were around his waist all night. I stared down at the smaller man and a beautiful thought crossed my mind. This is the last morning I'm going to wake up and call him my boyfriend or fiancé. I'm actually marrying this man in six hours.

"I love you, Steven," I whispered, then caressed his beard with the back of my hand and kissed him lightly. I don't think I could be more in love with him than I am right now. As I continued to kiss all over his face, his eyes fluttered open and he stirred awake. "Oh, sorry, did I wake you up?"

He turned over onto his back to face me, while I kept my arm across his waist. "No, not at all. By the way, I love you too." We leaned in together and met in a kiss. It began to escalate into more as we ran our fingers through each other's hair and pulled closer, not even breaking for a breath.

Eventually I broke our kiss to move down to planting them all over his neck. He giggled and squirmed, trying to push me away but probably because it tickled. "Anthony!" he whined. "I love you too, but let's save all the fun stuff until after we're married, okay?"

I broke away completely and stared down into his eyes, hands on both sides of his head. "Okay. I just got a little excited. You know I can't resist you, Mr. Mariani."

He rolled his eyes and tapped my arm. "Um, excuse me, but I thought we were gonna do the whole hyphen thing."

I chuckled. "I know. I just wanna know what it's like to say that. Please forgive me, Mr. Mariani-Royale."

"That's more like it." He chuckled and gave me one more kiss before we heard a knock at the door. Probably the guys to drag me away from Steven so we can get ready alone.

Before I went to get it, Steven got an idea to mess with them. He hopped out of bed and ran to his luggage, then pulled out a pair of his boxers. "Hold these up, then say they were 'interrupting something'," he whispered, a sly smirk on his face.

I chuckled lightly and ran to the door, getting all my giggles out before I saw them. I opened the door where Smarty, GaLm, and Tom were all standing and held up the boxers in plain view. "Uh, guys?" I started. "You kind of caught us in the middle of... something." I smirked to make it seem believable.

Smarty rolled his eyes and turned away. "Guyssss," he whined. "You just couldn't wait until tonight, could you?"

Our cover was blown by Steven laughing out loud behind me. I let them in, although they were really confused now, and Steven stood up to show them that we were joking.

"Anyway," Tom started. "You're coming with us, Chilled. It's 9:30 and you still need a haircut." I started getting dressed in the corner while the guys talked to Steven, and I overheard them saying something about trimming down his beard. I finished getting ready and left the room with them, giving Steven one last kiss. This is the last time I'll see him before I can finally call him my husband.

"Don't worry about me, Chilly," he cooed softly. "The girls will be up here in little bit. I'll see you at 3 o'clock."

Steven and I decided to come up to San Francisco for our wedding, then to Miami for our honeymoon. The ceremony will take place at a local Catholic church, to continue the family tradition, then the reception is happening at the Great American Music Hall. As the four of us left the hotel to go to the barber, butterflies started building up in my stomach, but they were the good kind. Not the ones that are like "I'm so nervous that I feel like I could puke".
