As you read earlier in the introduction my name is Jinx Cooper and I was living a perfectly stable life until I came home from school one day. Once I got off the bus I started to make my way to my house with my 2 other friends that decided to stay over. It was a warm and sunny Friday afternoon and the beautiful scenery just made the day even more perfect... That is before I got home and found out the horrid news.

"Jinx honey is that you? I need to tell you something extremely important!" My mom called for me as I closed the door behind my friends and I. My mom, Cara Cooper is a gorgeous single mom in her late 30's. She has short dark brown hair down to her collar bone and has a very skinny body. She is usually dressed in her jeans and whatever top she feels like wearing that day.

"Okay mom I'm coming! Remember when I told you my friends were going to come over today?" I shouted to her from across the house and put my shoes down neatly on the floor. I warned her that they were coming over last week and I was hopping she hasn't forgotten about it. The situation would be uncomfortably awkward, then again what awkward situation is no awkward?

"Yes I remember that you were bringing your friends over today, but before you girls go up to your room we need to talk first." My mom was now next to me and motioning for me to sit on the couch. "Okay what is it that is so important to discuss right now?" I sat down and kicked my feet up on the table. Mom never really liked me doing that, but old habits die hard.

I got my feet off the table and sat up to signal that I am listening and she has my full and complete attention. "Jinx, remember how I told you that we have to sell this house and move else where? I found someone who wants to buy this house!" My mom was smiling at the fact that someone wants to take this place off of our hands and we seriously need the money from the sales.

"That's great news mom! When are they coming to move in?" I was also smiling because the house is old and very eerie. We have strange things happening around the house all the time. Like when a picture frame is randomly broken, or when you can feel a presence sitting down on your bed at night but nothing is there. I've been wanting to move out for so long.

"I've also found a nice house that isn't to creepy and run down elsewhere. Pack your bags because we are moving to Sydney, Australia!" I froze after my mom told me that. That is all the way across the world! And what about my friends? My school? My job? I will have to leave that all behind and start a new life and build up another reputation that I already worked so hard to gain here?!

I was so surprised at this new outlook that I temporarily forgot how to breathe. "Mom! That's all the way across the world! What about our life here? Can't you find a house that's at least in the same city?!" I was protesting against this idea. "No sweetie, all the houses here are already sold, and I have been offered a job opportunity in Sydney. I've already accepted. We leave next week and they are paying for our plane tickets so no refunds." With that my mom walked away and I stood there in shock of the news I had just discovered.

*later on during the day*

"I can't believe that you're moving to Australia next week. And 3 months into the school year to!" My tall, long haired brunette friend exclaimed. Allison and I have been friends since 5th grade and we've done basically everything together. "Yeah, not to mention that you've finally broke out of your shell only to crawl back into it later." Brittany was thinking about this as much as Allison and I were. Brittany is an average height girl with medium length blonde hair with blue highlights in them down to her shoulders. We've been friends since 8th grade when she just moved here.

My friends both are beautiful inside and out, we've been through so much together and now we will hardly get to see each other at all. I'm not even so sure that we will be capable to stay as close as we are when I move. But it won't stop me from trying to keep our bond as strong as possible. We were all packing my belongings into boxes and suitcases. As the day ended my friends stay over to have pasta with my family and I. They leave shortly afterwards and I'm currently helping my brother clean up his toys.
