Chapter 2

I walked out of class bright red at the thought of him. His red eyes, his black and red hair, with those black horns. I was overwhelmed with curiosity. Millions of questions filled my head: "who was this Adam?" "Was he flirting with me?" "Why does he have such a bad reputation?" and so on. But I was also mentally kicking myself for giving such a crappy response to his question earlier.

Usually I can come up witty response without thinking but today I tripped over my own tongue probably because of those handsome red eyes. I shook my head and walked on, pushing the joystick on my chair forward making it drive faster. My mind continued to wander about as I drove, down the hallways that lead to my dorm. I was brought back to reality by stern but mellow voice saying "Oww!" My head shot up with a concerned look on my face "Oh my god I'm so sorry I didn't mean to hurt you!" I said with worry in my voice

I looked up to a familiar pair of red eyes and then looked down to see my front wheel crushing his foot. I blushed wildly and managed to choke out "here lemme back up." I mashed my joystick and the chair obeyed he responded with a scoff.

He left me standing here without even saying thank you or good-bye. God I hate running people over I hope he's not to mad. I zoomed down the hallway to my dorm. Finally I reached the door "Room 1221" I say with a smile it had a nice ring to it. I pushed open the door and slowly drove in, I tried to be quiet but my chair had other ideas. My chair lurched into the room with a loud "plunk!'' To my surprise I had a roommate a girl roommate I sighed with relief and thought to myself "THANK GOD! I can't handle him popping up anymore today or tripping over my tongue again."

The girl was petite with a medium chest, wide hips with a small waist and sorta thick legs. She was curled up on her bed reading an avp novel her hair was the same coloring and style as Adam's but a little longer. She had tiny black horns and were those cat ears?...Yeah cat ears, orange ones with black stripes. She had short orange cat fur with black stripes. Her legs and feet are like a cats structure, so I guess her feet aren't feet but giant cat paws. She doesn't wear shoes, or the school uniform, instead she's wearing a blank tank-top with a pair of black cargo shorts. She licks her fingers to flip the page revealing her sharp teeth and long canines. She has long black claws that could rip someone to shreds and a black tail with a very long blade for the tip of her tail. The blade is dark grey with some red lines that seem to glow. The blade could probably cut through diamonds and it's probably poisonous. She makes me nervous because she looks anything but nice or friendly. She's kind of like Adam, with a scowl always on her face and her eyebrows burrowed.

She looks at me through the corner of her eye and returns to reading her book. " She looks pissed off, I wonder what happened?" I couldn't help but think while staring at her. She then puts down her book and glares at me. " What are you staring at? Don't you have other things to do besides stare at me like a caged animal you human?" She keeps glaring at me with her bright yellow cat eyes. She makes me feel like I'm the prey and she's the predator. " I-I'm sorry I didn't mean it like that. You just looked pissed off and I was wondering what was wrong." She picks her book back up with one hand and turns on Pandora with the other. " Well right now the problem is you staring at me. I hate people who don't speak when they think something's wrong. Like if something's wrong, speak up, don't hold back because you're scared or nervous. To answer your question, no nothing was wrong with me. That was just my regular everyday face." I was taken back by her boldness and honesty that I couldn't respond to her.

I walked in and closed the door behind me with telepathy. As I walked to my side of the room I noticed she was playing " American Idiot" by Greenday. I turn around and look at her with a smile. " Hey could you turn up this song? I love this song!" She looks up at me from her book and does a quick smirk. She turns up the music and starts to quietly sing to the song. I couldn't help but join along. Everything escalated so quickly. Soon enough we were both singing/yelling to the song. We were so loud that someone had to tell us to turn down the music, but my roommate just flipped her off and started singing louder. The woman was trying to talk but my roommate wouldn't listen. Eventually she just gave up and let us be.

" Hey my names Jamie, what about you?" My roommate stops singing and looks at me. " Just call me cat." Quite literal, but it suits her.
