Meetings [3]

"So, Purple or white?" Renee, our wedding planner asked us. She was Rapunzel's daughter and we were discussing the colour of the tablecloths.

"We want white table cloths, with purple flowers." I said for both of us. We stayed up the entire night talking about our wedding.

"Did you already decide on your dress?" Renee asked me.

"Yes." I showed her a picture of the dress being extra careful to not show Ben.

"Beautiful." She smiled at me.

"Have you gotten your suit yet?"

"Not yet, it's still being prepared."

"Oh okay."

"I'll make sure to get everything you'll need. Let's meet up again next Saturday?" She suggested. I nodded knowing I wasn't busy that day.

"Um, I can't that day." Ben spoke up causing me to glance at him.

"Why?" I asked him, he never mentioned doing anything on Saturday.

"Um, I have to do something." He said vaguely.

"Which is?" I raised my brow, getting annoyed. Why isn't he telling me?

"I-I can't tell you." He said, fidgeting with his sleeve.

"Well. Find me when you can." I walked away angrily. Why couldn't he tell me? As I walked away I heard him calling my name, but I just continued walking.

Feeling frustrated, I walked all the way to the enchanted lake. I slowly walked in until my knees were just touching the water.

I saw something moving in the water and nearly gasped. As soon as I saw it, a cloud of dust and smoke arose from it and slowly, it grew.

"Hello, Mal." I heard a terrifyingly familiar voice.

"M-mom." I shrieked as she leaped forward, grabbing my arm in the process and suddenly, we were surrounded by green and purple smoke.

"Mom! What are you doing?" I screamed at her, tears streaming down my face.

"Don't you dare call me mom. You're not my daughter. My daughter would never choose good over evil." She scowled.

"That's where you're wrong. I'd choose good over evil any day."

"I see Belle is rubbing of on you. Not inviting me to your wedding, 'being good."

"No. I was always meant to be good. But how would you know? You checked in on me every 3 months, wondering if I was strong enough to take over the world for you." I inhaled deeply, "you don't know me. You never knew me." I glared at her.

"You're a disgrace. You're just like your father. He left me for the princess."

"Who mom? Who." I broke.

"Aurora." I was taken aback. My mouth ajar. Audrey and I were related?

"Mom! How could you not tell me!"

"You were never evil enough." She looked away from me. I then realized we were still surrounded by the colourful smoke.

"Where are you taking us?" I asked, emotion drained from my body.

"Somewhere." After a while or so, I noticed that the smoke was getting thinner. The thinner it got, the more I could see our surroundings. Once the fog fully disappeared, there was a tower in front of us.

"Mom, what're we doing here?" I asked her exasperated.

"Diablo!" A black bird appeared and it landed in front of us. His short wings formed into legs and soon, he turned into a human like figure.

"Diablo, this is Mal."

"Oh the famous daughter? She doesn't look evil at all." He scanned my appearance.

"She's not. Which is why she is here."

"Mom, what are you talking about?"

"You are going to mess with my plan. Which is why, you are staying here."

"Alone?" I asked terrified.

"Why yes, do you want your 'Benny-Boo' with you?" She looked at me.

Although I really wanted him to come here, I knew that he'd be safer at Auradon. So, I shook my head.

Diablo lead us up the tower, my ears popping every step. I was so in shock, I couldn't cry.

"Stay here." Mom glared at me. As she was talking to Diablo, I took my chance. I sprinted towards the staircase and got halfway down, until Diablo, bird form, flew and somehow picked me up. He dragged me up the stairs and threw me on the floor.

"Mal, Mal, Mal," Mom shook her head as she walked towards me, "do you hate me that much that you'd destroy everything I've worked for?"

"Yes." I glared at her, feeling my anger rise levels it never has before. She walked closer to me so her chest is a millimetre from mine. She tilted my chin up with her long black nails and said viciously,

"If you mess this up for me. You, your friends, and your King, will pay." She pushed me on the ground and left.

Right when they left I started bawling. I just wanted to go home. Back to Auradon, back to Ben. After a while, the tears drained all my energy and I fell asleep.
