//BEN//"Evie, have you seen Mal?" I asked worriedly.
"No, didn't you guys have a meeting with a wedding planner?"
"We had a fight and she ran away, I can't find her."
"Where'd you look?" Evie started getting worried too.
"Her room, all the classrooms, I don't know where else to look; I can't find her."
"Have you checked the Enchanted Lake?" I shook my head, "go check!" She pushed me out of the library and I ran towards my bike.
After I revved up the engine, my legs swung on either side and my hands cranked the handles.
The engine roared pushing the motor bike through Auradon. I looked around me seeing no signs of Mal. Where is she?
Once I reached the enchanted lake, I noticed a glimmering piece of metal floating in the water.
My ring. The one I gave to Mal three years ago during my coronation. She never took this off. No matter how angry she was, the ring was stuck to her finger like a tattoo.
Panic rushed into my body as I dove in the water not caring about my fully clothed self. I swam everywhere. The deepest of the lake, the narrowest crevices; nothing.
"She has to be here," I sobbed into my hands, "s-she has to."
The sun slowly started its descent, and my hope to find her grew smaller. Yet my determination was stronger than anything. I need to find her.
"MAL!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, "I'M SORRY!" I broke. Tears flowed from my eyes into the lake.
"I-I love you." I whispered under my breath as I cried. My eyelids felt heavier, and they dragged me to sleep.
-
"Babe, come on, help me." I heard a heavenly voice lull me out of sleep.
I was on a picnic blanket, a basket full of fruits beside me.
"Ben, come on!" My purple haired fiancé pulled me up onto my feet. I laughed, and took her in my embrace. Her heavenly scent flooded my nose, and we sat down together in the tall grass.
"Ben come on," she stood up, "let's dance!" She yanked me up and grabbed my right hand, and placed her other hand on my shoulder.
My left hand rested on her waist, and together we slowly waltzed. Sometimes, I stepped onto her feet, and her on mine, letting our laughter fill the air.
"You just know, sometimes you feel it in your bones, " I spun her around and caught her in my arms while singing,
"though I've heard that hearts can still be wrong," she sang along with me,
"something's telling me that you're the one." I wiggled the ring on her finger.
"I just know, even if I had a heart of stone, you could make it bleed all on your own, you could break it but I hope you won't." I kissed her hand and dipped her.
"I'll burn it down, I'll light it up for you;" We spun around,
"I'd risk it all, I'd rather crash, I'd rather fall, than never have your love at all." I looked in to her eyes and kissed her nose, making her erupt in laughter.
"With only bricks to break my fall. For you I'd risk it all." I grabbed her into a tight embrace.
Abruptly, the blue sky and happy clouds got replaced with greyness.
"Ben, I'm going to grab the fruit and the blanket, then we can go okay?" Mal smiled up at me. I nodded and she walked to the blanket.
I turned my head up to the clouds and frowned confused. There was no signs of rain earlier, no clouds; it was a clear, blue day.
"BEN!" I whipped my head over to the source of the scream and gasped. The picnic supplies was replaced with a growing tower, going higher and higher into the sky.
"MAL!" I screamed as a large dragon accompanied by a black bird flew around the tower.
I tried to grab onto one of the vines dangling from the large structure but the closer I got, the smaller the vines.
Over and over, Mal screamed, "BEN!"
"Ben PLEASE HELP!"
"BEN!" Images of her cradling her head in her arms, as she sat on a wooden floor flooded my head.
"BEN." I sat up, breathing heavily. Evie, Jay, and Carlos were standing beside me.
It was just a dream.
The sun was already in the middle of the sky, my shirt still soaked. I glanced back at the trio.
"Wh-what just happened?" I asked confused. Then I remembered. The tower.
"M-Mal. She's in a tower. I-I don't know where, but she's in one." I stutter out.
"What did it look like?" Carlos said, taking out a note pad.
"Um... The walls were flat, like stone, and the roof was pointed with vines hanging off." I scavenged my head for the information.
"Come on. Let's get back. We can use one of the computers in the lab to find out where she is, okay?" Evie said and I nodded as the three helped me up.
