“Sir, excuse me Dr. Watson” Edward Lace, one of Dr. Watson’s interns, stood on attention waiting for the doctor to acknowledge him. “Are you just going to stand there and waist my breath sir” Watson scolded without looking up from his book. “Dr. Cartor asked me to do an autopsy on Lord Rose’s body. She did ask the family for their consent, she was curious why Lord Rose died so quickly. After I cleaned the body I noticed there was no vessel tearing in the eyes or mouth and the teeth seemed in good condition. When I washed the body I noticed the problem, Lord Rose committed suicide.” The assurance in the young man’s voice drew Dr. Watson’s eyes of the book glaring at the young doctor. “Are you sure?” Dr. Watson asked rudely. The young man just nodded to scared to open his mouth while Dr. Watson is in such a foul mood. “He loved her so much that he could not life on without her. That stupid digit now if Dr. Cartor finds a cure I have to tell Katarina her soul mate offed himself. Just like that a couple dating back to when they were only 14 is over, it is so sad” Dr. Watson slammed close the book making the young man jump and stand even more up right.

The news of their father’s suicide left the Rose family speechless, the tense mood only grew stronger when Tony received a letter telling him his baby sister and her husband died only few days ago. The news was so unsettling Nickolas ran out jumped on his black giant horse bare back and drove off into the sunset. “Tony! Do you have a horse I could take; your brother just took off.” Tony just flicked a finger with his free hand while sipping on his whiskey glaring out the window. A servant took Elizabeth by the hand softly leading her to the barn. “Milady, here is Temperance. Lord Tony bought her for you as a wedding gift” the servant did not take his eyes off the ground once. Elizabeth stormed into the beast cage being welcomed by a snow white giant with turquoise eyes. Temperance eyes felt like they could imprison you forever. The horse walked toward Elizabeth placing her left foot straighten out to the front and the right one bend like as if the horse bowed before her. Elizabeth took hold onto the beast long silky mains and threw her leg over mounting her with ease. Temperance lifted her front legs and ran off after the dust cloud Nickolas left hanging behind him.

The wind blew through Elizabeth’s pinned up hair, small pieces that came loose danced in the wind. Elizabeth’s dress seemed to float in the wind creating what seemed to be a silk river. The peasants greeting Elizabeth flew right by her not being able to break her concentration. The harder Temperance ran the further away the dust cloud seemed to be. Tears ran down Elizabeth’s face wondering if her mother will be waiting for her upon her arrival, having to handle the pain Nickolas felt right now if she has passed on. The cloud faded meaning Nickolas came to a stop. When Elizabeth noted her fiancée standing against a tree waiting for his horse to stop drinking from the river, Temperance did not even come to a complete halt when Elizabeth jumped off her horse and right into her loves arms. “Elizabeth! What do you think you are doing?” Nickolas scolded holding her close to him. “Don’t ever do that again! Don’t ever storm of like that again” Elizabeth bumped her fists against Nick’s steel chest. The two of them started to giggle and cry at the same time. “My love I will never leave you, even if I die my spirit will haunt you” Nickolas teased comforting. Together they retired under the tree, Elizabeth nested into Nickolas arms. “It is not fair my love. You have experienced more pain in one day than most experience their whole live” there was no reply on her comment. Nickolas just stared at the calm river. His white cheeks turned red and his baby blue eyes hiding behind closed eye lids when the tears became too much. Hours went by without a single word. Nickolas fighting the tears, Elizabeth wanting to take the pain away, the two horses playing together like there was nothing amiss in this world. Just as Elizabeth dozed off in Nickolas arms Tony’s boots landing on the ground woke her up. The only way she knew it was Tony was by the faint lantern light falling on his face, it is night already. “Brother, Mother has passed on” Tony held onto his baby brother comforting him as much as fighting the tears himself.
