Chapter 3: The intruder and Beck's biggest goal!

I heard someone shouted so I hurried downstairs. The others didn’t follow me. Heavy Sleepers.

Why would anyone go swimming at 5:00 in the morning? Then it hit me, an intruder. I brought my wooden sword and immediately went outside. I sneaked quietly in the bushes and I saw a figure of a man. It must be the intruder. I tightly gripped the sword as become closer. As his shadow became closer, I jumped from his back and yelled, “Hah!” I almost wacked him in the head but he dodged it.

As he turned around, I was surprised. “BECK, WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU GO SWIMMING AT THIS TIME OF DAY?!?!” I was about to lose my temper because of his idiocy.

“Daily routine.” He said and shrugged. Without hesitation, I threw him at the pool.

“What was that for?” He asked me when he went up to the surface.

“Oh, nothing. So what do you want to talk about?” I changed the topic.

He got out of the pool and reached his towel. He sat beside me on the grass and said “I want you to forgive me for what I did.”

“But I already forgave you.” I said as I stopped looking at his arm and started dipping my feet in the pool.

“Not about the arm, stupid. Forgive me for what I did 6 years ago.” He touched his right arm and looked at me with sincerity.

I looked at him and said sternly, “Why would I do that?”Past is past, but I was hurt, embarrassed and my reputation was ruined. Should I forgive him?

He didn’t answer. I stood up and said, “I need more time.” I left the pool at once.

Beck’s POV

“I need more time.” She said and left. I dived to the pool to think about she said. Time,huh? As I got out from the water, I shouted “You guys can go out right now.” Pearl, Marianne, Yuki, Lisa and Carl got out from the bushes.

“How did you know?” Marianne asked.

I ignored it and I asked “Did you guys hear everything?”

They all sighed and said “Yes.”

“So what are you going to do now?” Carl said as he got near me.

“I’ll just go to Plan B.”I said with a sigh.

“Which is?”Pearl asked. I know she’s interested in the plan.

“I’m going to win her heart.” I said with a smile.

“That’s going to be tough.” Kim stated as she appeared at some bushes.

“She’s one tough nut to crack.” Alice added as she appeared behind Kim’s back.

“WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?!?!” Lisa pointed at them like she is paranoid. Which she is…

We ignored Lisa and I looked at Alice “I can do it.” I said with a smirk.

“We’ll see.” Kim replied as she went inside the mansion.

They left Carl and me in the pool. “Carl, you coming or what?”Pearl waited for her brother. Carl shook his head and she left.

He looked at me and asked “How are you going to accomplish that?”

“I have no idea.” I replied as started getting my towel.

Carl sweat-dropped and he murmured, “You have a goal but no plan on how to do it?”
