Alexis' POV
My alarm clock went off and I groaned. First Day At School. Great. I slammed the clock to shut it up and rushed to get ready. Once I was I looked in the mirror. Yuck, but it will have to do. I do a little style on my blonde hair and put on my beanie. I got a group text message just as I was getting my backpack
To: You, Charlotte, Donna
Charlotte: hey you guys ready?
Me: yeah be at your house in 5
Donna: see you guys on the bus
I put my phone in my back pocket and went downstairs.
"Oh honey you're up I made you a Hot Pocket" my mom says as I entered the kitchen.
"Thanks mom" I smile and kiss her cheek. I bit my Hot Pocket and said bye to my mom and headed to Charlotte's house. I knocked on the door and her mom answered.
"Good morning Mrs. McKenzie is Charlotte ready?" I say smiling and she smiles as well.
"Good morning Alexis and please call me Deanne and yup she's in her room" she says. I thank her and head upstairs.
"Hey Charlotte" I say as she's putting on her shoes.
"Hey Alex, dang girl!! Love your outfit" she says smiling.
"What? I just picked out anything" I smirk.
"You ready?" She asks me. I half smile.
"I guess so"
We go downstairs and wait at the bus stop with her brother Andre. Turns out we have a lot in common and he's cool to hang out with too. Just then the bus came and butterflies were in my stomach. I went in with Charlotte and everyone stared at me. The boys checking me out and the girls glaring at me. I started walking then I caught the eye of a cute boy with freckles. He smiles at me and I smile back and head with Charlotte where Donna was at.
"Hey Donna" I whisper and she laughs.
"You don't have to whisper Alex" I laugh too.
"Looks like someone's popular" Charlotte smirks and I roll my eyes.
"Yeah something I DIDNT want" I say and all three of us laugh. I looked straight and that boy was still staring at me. He was cute in a way with his brown eyes and stuff. The bus stopped and we all got out. When we stepped out Charlotte and Donna each grabbed one of my arms.
"Welcome to high school" they both said and led me to the office.
"I will be fine guys" I reassure them.
"Nope we are best friends now and we're sticking with you and besides it's an excuse to get out of class" Donna winks. I go to the desk and a nice lady was there.
"Hello sweetie how can I help you?" She asks me smiling.
"Um hi, I'm new here and I was wondering if I could get my schedule please?"
"Of course dear name?"
"Alexis Thomas"
"oh here you go have a wonderful first day" I thank her and we head out.
"What are your classes?" Charlotte asks me taking the paper while she and Donna look at it.
"Omg we have all the same classes except History" Charlotte squeals and I smile. What luck?
"Cmon lets get to homeroom" Donna says and they grab my arm again. We get to a classroom where everyone was messing around. Once they saw me they stopped. I half smiled and saw the boy from the bus. The teacher noticed me and I showed him my schedule while Donna and Charlotte take their seats.
"Well hello Miss Thomas I'm Mr. Howard you're homeroom teacher" I nod and smile.
"Class attention please we have a new student with us: Alexis Thomas!! Alexis why don't you tell the class a little bit about yourself?" He ask me and I mentally groan.
"Um sure, Hi I'm Alexis Thomas I just moved here which is where my mom grew up. I like um skateboarding singing dancing and soccer!!" Everyone looks at me and I get the same stares like in the bus.
"That's nice so Alexis you will be sitting next to Keithie. Um Keithie can you please raise your hand?"
He does and it was the same boy that was staring at me in the bus. I look at him and he looks happy? All the boys tell him he's lucky. I roll my eyes I look at Donna. Oh no it's the boy she's in love with. I sit down next to him and homeroom finishes and I head out to Charlotte and Donna.
Keithie's POV
I was so happy when Mr.Howard told that girl Alexis to sit next to me in homeroom. She was so beautiful and gorgeous. I hope we get to know each other and maybe be friends maybe more.
Alexis' POV
I exited the classroom where I found my friends.
"Wow you're lucky you sit next to the cutest boy ever" Donna says dreamily and Charlotte smirks and nudges me.
"He looked pretty happy that you sat next to him" she winks and I roll my eyes. Just then Keithie comes and I start blushing?
"Hey Charlotte hey Donna" he says. Charlotte waves and Donna stares at him like he's a prince.
"Oh Keithie I want you to meet our new best friend/ my new next door neighbor Alexis" Charlotte introduces me.
"Um hi I'm Alexis" I smile and he starts blushing too.
"I'm Keithie" he smiles.
"Well we gotta head to Science" Charlotte says and takes Donna with her and signals me to go with them.
"Well it was nice meeting you Keithie" I smile and head toward my friends.
