My first sight was that of a forest. More jungle that forest but all still the same. The sun itself was bright in sunny of the new morning. The waterfall that I live behind for almost a month connected to a medium sized lake and that traveled downward to make a river. Behind and above was a cliff adjacent to the waterfall leading back to mountains as far as I could see.

Torren was playing in the soft ground which was different from our hard floor cave and Mei played in the water. She reminded me of Ariel from The Little Mermaid jumping in and out of the water. I on the other hand wanted to look at my own reflection and see what my presence mean in this world.

Inched closer to the lake step by step. I felt a knot engulfed my stomach. I slowly crossed the edge and looked upon a yellow eye. My head was the same as Torren but I didn't have skin in the middle, the same as a Triceratops. My scales were pitch black. I had the strangest feeling that it was related to the darkness I knew so well not long ago.

But one characteristic made a huge difference between me and my family. I had a faint, faint glow of purple runes or symbols on each of my arms and legs. Each the same. It even took me a second to even recognize that they were there. I even checked out both of my siblings  to also see if they had one two they were both different from each others and of mine.

As the day passed by, with playing and exploring as far as father would let us. He gather us to announce our second surprise:

"Today, children. Your mother and I are going to be training you..." I knew it. "I will be teaching you culture and about today circumstance. You father will teach you some combat and survival skills so that in your next cycle you will have to leave the den to find where your own home."

That came as a real shock. Dragons having culture. You never would have expected otherwise. In all the games I've played in my previous life. Dragons turned out to be something else entirely. Mindless beast designed for destruction and mayhem. This was my chance to make my mark upon the world.
