Just Friends?

Out of curiosity, I go to Thomas' house to try and somehow get an explanation.

I nervously knock on the door.

But no one is there...

I start walking back to my house when I bump into something. A person.

Thomas.

"Oops sorry!" I say, even though he can't hear me.
He stands there and looks at me. And smirks.
"Oh it's okay." He says.

WHAT! HOW? UM...

"Thomas? You're not deaf?" I say, shocked.
"Why would I be deaf Lucy?" He says.
"Um... Someone told me that you were deaf." I explain.
"How could I have possibly gone deaf." He says, confused.
"He told me-" I burst out crying and hug Thomas.
"It's okay. I'm here now."

And then we awkwardly walked to my house in silence.

Once I had calmed down, Thomas offered me a cup of warm tea and some chocolate.

"So... What did they say happened to me?" Thomas says.
"Uh. They said that some girl shouted in your ear really loud." I explain, feeling tense.
"And you thought that was you?" He said.
I nod.
"Oh Lucy it's okay, I'm okay."  He says.
"I'm sorry." I say.
"For what?" He says.
"For over reacting." I explain.
"Lucy, you didn't over react. It's my fault." He says.
"I love it when you take the blame for things." I smirk, and he does too.

"Wait... So who was that who told me you were deaf?" I say.
"OH MY GOD..." He shouts.
"What?" I say, concerned
"Was it a guy or a girl?" He says.
"Well... A guy that I remember. But he looked a bit... Strange. Like he wasn't a man." I try to explain.
"KAYA!" We say in sync.
