"I'm really sorry! I didn't even see you come around that corner, I can buy you a new jumper. I uh, how much was it?" Joe rambles as I just awkwardly stare at his gorgeous face. I am talking to the Joe Sugg. What is life right now?
"Excuse me? Are you sure you're okay?" Joe asks breaking me from my trance.
"Oh yeah, I'm good. Don't worry about my shirt, it'll wash out." I respond looking at the ground. I feel as though I'm that extremely socially awkward kid that everyone avoids at school. Oh wait, that was me.
"You sure? Oh, here's our camera." Joe flashes me a smile. Oh god, please don't fangirl, please don't fangirl!
"Thanks." I whisper holding my breath. I think I need help.
"I'm guessing you know who I am?" Joe chuckles once I take the camera from his hands.
"Uhm, why would you think that?" I laugh and awkwardly lean against the brick wall.
"Just because you were vlogging, probably for YouTube, and you look like your about to faint." Joe points out making me sigh.
"Fine. You caught me. At least I tried to act casual.. I'm gonna go now..." I trail off stepping to the side and scurrying to get out of sight.
"Wait! Don't you want a picture?" Joe shouts after me.
"Do I look camera ready to you?" I giggle turning around and pointing to my Starbucks drenched hair.
"Well then, what's your YouTube channel?" Joe asks making my mind spin. Why would he want me YouTube channel? Does he want to subscribe? He's probably just being nice you idiot...
"It's 'Bel Rain'." I respond with a quick smile. I then turn around and get the hell out of there knowing that I made a fool of myself. Why do I have to be so awkward? Why can't I be that awesome person who can make a conversation out of anything?
"Oh you've out did yourself this time." I quietly whisper to myself, kicking rocks on the sidewalk.
"Hey. Do you need a ride home?" I hear a deep, raspy voice boom in my right ear. I turn my head to see a bearded man peeking his head out of a black SUV.
"Uhm. No thanks, I'm good." I squeak. This isn't creepy at all.
"It's going to get dark soon. We wouldn't want anything bad to happen to you, would we?" He says making my stomach churn.
"My house is actually just right there, sir." I reply, pointing to a random house and adding a bit of sass to my tone.
"That looks a bit expensive for a young girl such as yourself." He laughs evilly making me cringe.
"Uh. Bye!" I yelp, sprinting through the gate of the beautiful apartment. The thing is that he is totally right, I could never afford an apartment like this.
Once I make it to the front door, I turn around to see the burly man get out of the car. I gasp and begin to bang on this randoms door.
"Please! Help me!" I say completely out of breath.
I'm just about to bang for what seems like the hundredth time when the door opens revealing a familiar face.
"Listen, I know your a fan but it's kind of rude to-" Joe starts but I shush him, pointing behind me.
"I'm terribly sorry for this girl. She's very troubled, you see. I can get her out of your hair. Let's go honey!" The disgusting man tells Joe making me want to throw up my guts.
I strain my eyes in fear, trying to get the message across to Joe. As Joe looks at me, he seems to take his time, looking back and forth at my different colored eyes. Great Joe, not the time to make me feel insecure!
"Uh, actually sir, I've been expecting her. You must have the wrong person." Joe smiles putting his body in front of mine. It's actually kind of funny, seeing Joe's small frame up against this ginormous man.
"Oh, I'm terribly sorry. I best get going." The man grunts, turning away from us. My mouth lays open in fear as I realize what the outcome could have been.
"What just happened?" Joe asks making me look at him. I just shake my head, totally in complete and utter shock.
"Here, let's get you inside." He says in a comforting voice and guides me into the warmth of his apartment.
"He was going to kidnap me," I'm finally able to utter, "We've got to report him to the police!"
"No. You can't." Joe answers sternly. I look up at him to see hatred burning in his eyes, as if he knows this man.
"You know him?"
"He kidnapped Niomi. That's why she's been gone off YouTube for a while now. The police have given up without admitting it." Joe says making my heart drop.
"Do we know if she's okay?" I ask in desperation. All of my fangirl urges that I had earlier have totally vanished into thin air.
"No. Marcus has really took it hard. We've all been searching for her," Joe sighs with a pained expression, "I'm just glad you came to my door."
"Me too." I mumble.
"Is your house far from here?" Joe asks me.
"It's like 4 blocks down."
"Well, that's pretty far in this part of town. Caspar's car is broken too, so you can stay the night if you'd like. Casp's out of town so you can spend the night in his room." as the words leave his mouth I think of how this day has been filled with so many events.
1. Moving to London
2. Meeting Joe Sugg
3. Almost getting kidnapped
4. Joe saves the day
5. I am going to spend the night in the Jaspar household."I mean, I would say no but, I don't think I can go out there in the dark again." I sigh. I hope I'm not being troublesome.
"Well, in that case. Hi, I'm Joe Sugg. I make YouTube videos for a living and have a daughter named Emma Lee." Joe laughs extending his hand for me to shake.
"Hello there Joe. I'm Izabella, but you can call me Bel, I am an Aussie, if you haven't noticed the accent. I too make YouTube videos, though I'm not as famous as you are." I smile back and shake his hand.
And just as our hands meet, I feel a strange sensation rise in the pit of my stomach. Like all of this is meant to happen. Tingles make their way down my spine and leave a trace of security once they leave. I finally feel like everything I've done to get here actually makes sense. I actually feel like myself.
