After the crowning, everyone was so confident about what had just happened. They believed in Azula. She was not so obsessed in chasing the avatar now. She had other priorities, or...at least this is what she used to tell everyone. Except her friends who knew everything from her.
One day, she and her friends had a gathering, just the three of them, and no one was going to interrupt them.
"Hi there, guys," Mai came in the first. They were in Azula's bedroom in the Fire Nation's palace.
"Hello, Mai. Where's Ty lee?" Azula asked surprisingly. She didn't use to be late.
"Maybe she's still flirting with some guards or whatever she usually does..." Mai told and they both got amused.
"Oh well..." and Ty lee appeared with a complicated gymnastic feet and jumping move.
"Hi girls! Sorry I'm late. I was just showing the guards some moves," and then she smiled to the ears with her poorly little doggy face.
"Whatever..." Mai and Azula said at the same time.
"All right girls," Azula started her 'speech', "as you know, everybody thinks we're done with the avatar, right?"
"Yep I guess.."
"Good. So that means we will surprise them when we will get him!"
And then both Ty lee and Mai watched her shockly.
"But Azula!..." Ty lee stared, "we can't do this. You promised your uncle you will stop being obsessed with the idea."
"Oh but I'm not obsessed. I just can't let him alive to destroy me while I'm ruling here! I can't let that stupid little child avatar to ruine my plans and my people!"
"Don't you think he's saying the same thing about us?..."
"What did you just said?" Azula got little bit mad at Ty lee.
"Well I'm just saying. He could think the same about you."
"Maybe. But he won't think to catch me as I do."
"That's because he doesn't want to hurt anyone without a purpose."
"Ty lee what is wrong with you? Suddently you hold the avatar's side?"
"No, Zula, it's just that...I really though you will not get yourself in trouble again."
"Ugh! Mai, I hate your silence. Say something! It's a good time to speak up."
"Well..." Mai started unimpressed, "I will go anywhere and do anything as long as I'm not attacked back. Defense is boring..."
"Ha ha ha" Ty laughted, "there's no way to not be attacked back if you will attack. But this is not the most important thing now. Mai, you have to tell her. Tell Zula that this is a bad idea."
"Yeah yeah, bad idea, blah blah. Besides your uncle will be very disappointed and your brother will feel left behind."
"Oh no, Zuko!" Ty lee screamed, "I can't leave him behind, Zula."
"Oh right! But then it's easier to leave me behind?!..."
"No but...I though you two will finally get along."
"So he will enter in our team then. Here, you got your sugarcake back. Now can we build our plan?"
"Yeey, but no. You promised that..."
"I don't care what I promised!" Azula screamed surrounded by fire and lighting flames burnt from her suddently anger. "I am the fire lord now and my first act will be to bring the avatar into our custody!"
"There is peace in the world. Everybody thinks that the Fire Nation had stop killing and hurting people. They could finally trust us," Ty lee said with regret because of her friend's obsession for distruction.
"I don't need their trust. We could rule the entire world."
"How could you rule the whole world, if you will be left with not even a servant who would completly trust in you?..." Ty lee said wipping away her few tears.
"I still have you two."
"No, Azula! If you will not stop doing this then....then.... I will leave! And Mai also!"
"What?! You can't do this to me!"
"You're a little bit too confident. But I'm sick of your obsessions. Right Mai?"
"Ugh...I'm not the admiting type..."
Now Azula got really mad and opened up a fire from her hands to feet and willing to splash the blue light into them and kill them.
"Fine! I don't even need you anymore!" And then she did it and everything exploded.
But now Ty Lee suddently woke up terrified. It was just a dream.
She went to the kitchen and found Azula and Mai sitting on the two chairs and drinking Iroh's special tea.
"Hi girls..." Ty Lee saluted them.
"Hey Ty!" Azula replied. "What happened? You look pale."
"I'm just...tired I think."
"Hmm yeah, you look worse than ever," Mai said to her little amused.
"Thank you, Mai, what a good friend I have... But seriously I'm fine."
Azula and Mai were looking at each other, and then at Ty Lee, and so on, but finally they grabbed another chair and ate together a special meal ordered by Zuko, without her aknowledge.
"So...Azula..." Ty Lee started wanting to make sure that her dream was not going to become true, "do you have any plans for today?"
"Why? Are you gonna ask me for a date?" and they all laughted.
"Oh no, I was just thinking....What would be your first act as the new fire lord, Zula?"
"What is with all these questions, Ty? Are you suddently becoming an interviewer?"
"Nah, I'm just curious."
"Well, first I'm gonna eat this meal. Then I'm gonna find out what was with that creepy voice last night."
"Creepy voice?" Mai repeated. "Everything that's creepy sounds good. But where was that voice heared from?"
"I personally heard it from my bedroom", Azula explained. "I don't know what it is, but it sounded like a small byson."
Ty Lee's thoughs:
Oh no, it's happening. I can't let this happen. I can't let us be setted appart from each other. I know. I will appear in the middle of the night in her room and I will say that it was me all the time and I just wanted to scare her. So be it...
"Ty Lee! What are you doing?" Azula yelled.
Ty Lee was inconsciently fighting with one of the guards.
"I...I though I heared something and I just..."
Ty Lee was just going to be very strange day by day. Not even Zuko was man enough to calm her down.
"I think the crowning day had make you just too tired. You will need few days of rest", Iroh said watching her behavior.
The problem was that Ty Lee had those dreams and she couldn't sleep well since the avatar's last escape. She was always afraid of apparting from her friends and her home. This was her home. And she had to stop her nightmares. No matter what it would've take her...
