Artemis didn't have the heart to stop, so, much to his pack's confusion he gave orders for all who were taking strolls to stay away from the borders for half an hour as he took Rayvin running along the entire border. Breathless as he was, he could see the joy and happiness in Rayvin's eyes grow more and more the further he went. They especially grew bright when he climbed hills and jumped the main river. "Artemis what's with the weird order? Is something happening outside?" Willow contacted her mate after hearing nothing from him for quite awhile, Artemis who was breathless but also filled with pride for being able to make the oddball Rayvin happy snaps out of the adrenaline rush. He looks up at the blue sky for a second before slowing down slightly and adjusting his breathing so his mate wouldn't worry. "Nothing happened...Rayvin wanted to see the border so I took her for a small tour." Willow could sense the mild embarrassment of her mate and she rose a brow to herself. Not only could she tell he was mildly embarrassed but he sounded, proud.
Wondering what he was covering up, Willow hurried him over to the pack house where she and Cain were waiting for him. "It shouldn't have taken you so long to get here...Hurry back, Cain is getting nervous and the rest of the pack is also wondering why you gave such bizarre orders." His ears dropping slightly, Artemis grumbles to himself drawing Rayvin's curious glance before he made a sharp turn surprising her by heading toward their original destination. Her eyes dim slightly, as she understood that the ride is over now. She looks over her shoulder at the border one last time as Artemis stole a look at the pup whose tiny smile drops after guessing the tour was at its end. Feeling uncomfortable seeing her joyful expression become the same blank look she had every other day, Artemis was tired but also tempted to promise the girl another adventure another day. Rayvin was quiet as they broke through the trees onto a path that seemed to be traveled quite frequently as they travel further inland. Her nostrils flare as the same overwhelming smell came again making her nose wrinkle up like before as it became stronger.
The black wolf below her sent her another glance before slowing down to a trot trying to keep his fatigue to a minimum to not lose his dignity in front of the little girl. Rayvin looks around and saw more ugly houses around her that seemed to be built in a certain order, much to her caution she could feel many eyes upon herself making the back of her neck bristle. She gave a light growl, her fists tightening around Artemis's mane as she shifts her glower around agitatedly. She knew they were watching her from those houses, she could smell them even though they tried to hide from her view. Following her growl came a more powerful vibrato from the black wolf beneath her as well as a staggering wave of pressure. Instantly those eyes she could feel on her were gone all at once, and Rayvin's tense little figure eased a bit. She looks down at Artemis whose powerful growl ends in a grumpy wolf-like grumble, her unhappiness also disappeared a tiny bit with his strange backing. Did he tell them to look away? How come? However, the wolf couldn't hear her self-doubting questions and led her down the streets toward a larger and even uglier building than the small ones they passed.
When the large doors open up Rayvin further relaxes seeing familiar faces. Willow holding a cup of water as well as a welcoming smile on her pretty face exits the ugly house. "There you two are, I was wondering if you were ever going to show up." Artemis grunts a response and lowers himself to the ground for Rayvin to get down. The girl's legs dangle lightly off the sides of his back, she hesitates before clutching tightly onto his fur and slowly dropping herself down. Her legs which had gone numb at some point shook like a newborn calf. Noticing her predicament Artemis snorts a wolfy laugh, Rayvin's cheeks lightly turn a tiny bit red out of shame. "Artemis!" Willow scolds before hurrying over to Rayvin to help massage the girl's legs and assist in helping the blood flow properly again. "Don't scold me, Willow, you should have seen her face when we toured the border before. She was so excited she probably forgot to stretch during it."
