My Life Changed When He Came

Chapter Eight: Drugs

     I laid on the ground, laughing once the Heroin set in, the speed filled throughout my body. My body started to feel hot so I couldn't help but peel off my sweatpants and hoodie, I needed to cool down.

       My mind was all blurry but the rest of me was having a blast. As the speed rushes up my arms, I could feel tingles and I opened my eyes, there was an explosion. 

    An explosion of pleasure. 

   Everything was blissful and beautiful psychologically. I love everything. It is pure joy to be alive, to have a body; briefly that is the only awareness. I smiled at Ash but he looked very different, he gave me a weird look but I didn't care. 

    I felt happy to be alive even though everything around me was pure hell, I stood up and walked around mainly just looking at everything around me. 

     All my nerves were on fire and Ash's hand touched my skin. His fingers on my skin felt delicious but it wasn't really sexual. Even if he stabbed me with a knife I wouldn't feel it, I'm just so carefree right now. I finally passed out. 

      [[Monday]] I woke up in his bed and he took me to school. I walked into school with his arm around me, I could barely stand up on my own and I looked around seeing some people glance at me. 

    True, I didn't look the best because I looked very lazy.  

      Ash had a firm grip on my shoulder,''You'll get another dose tonight, don't worry.'' I nodded. He leaned against a locker and watched me get my stuff, I noticed Arsen racing over to me. 

    ''Where the hell were you!? You had me worried sick!'' He glanced at the small hole on the side of my neck, he moved my hair aside to get a closer look but Ash shoved him away from me. 

    ''What do you think you're doing? Get away from her you freak!'' Arsen's face clouded with anger,''What did you do to her?''  He noticed my sickly white features.

     I slumped against my locker, beads of sweat trailed down my face and my eyes closed slowly. Arsen grabbed my hand and led me away to the nurse's office. 

    ''What happened to you Nicole!? You were gone for a week and no one could reach you.'' I felt my mind slip away but I dought to stay conscious,''Just take me to the nurse.'' 

     We go to the nurse's room and they laid me down on the bed, the main nurse took my temperature. ''102, oh that's not good.'' She looked at Arsen worriedly. She applied an ice pack to my head, I knew that I needed another dose because it just felt so good. 

      Of course this was the worst of it, I'm getting hooked/addicted. I know that it was bad but still, one more dose of Heroin wouldn't hurt. Right?   

    I heard the lunch bell ring, I started to hear a roar of footsteps coming down the hall. Lucky.   ''Um, Mrs. Moore?'' I leaned up weakly on my elbow. ''I'm feeling better now so could I go down to lunch?'' 

     She gave me a look, checking me over then nodded. I stood up and saw Ash walk in, he helped me walk down to lunch and when I finally got there Arsen was at my regular table glaring at me while Alyssa and Amber looked at me with wild eyes.

      I frowned because I knew that I looked pale, Ash walked me to his table with all his friends. I heard whispers from Arsen's table, of course they were talking about me. I rolled my eyes and waited out the time until we left the school. 

   [[Hours pass and school ends]]  Ash and I walked out of school together and Arsen ran up to me,''You can't be serious about going home with this guy. Come on Nicole, let me take you home this time.'' I felt Ash tighten his grip on my shoulder, Ash tried to keep his cool.

     ''She said that she wanted to come with me, she'll actually be with someone who she trusts.'' We walked past Arsen and I looked back, I would've mouthed something but I was to weak to do it. I forced a frown even though my entire body screamed in pain.

     I got into his car and he drove me back to his house. I started thinking about my mother, was she even worried that I wasn't home? Did she even call anyone to check up on me, did she even care?  

     We finally got to his place and when we entered I sat down in his livingroom. He brought the needle but I grabbed it from him.

      ''I want to do it this time, just tell me how.''  He gave me some alcohol swabs and the syringe, I cleaned the area where I was going to inject the heroin and I put the needle into the skin and I made sure that the needle was in the vein. I took a deep breath and injected the heroin into my bloodstream. Ash just sat there, watching me while I had my eyes closed waiting for the heroin to set in.

    I quietly whispered,''Ash, I want to do another drug.'' ''Like what? I have LSD, Cocaine, Acid. Which one?''  

    So many options but I had to choose. ''LSD.'' He went to his room, then he came back with the pill. I put the small tablet on my tongue and waited, the hallucinations started. 

     I saw things that I knew weren't real but they were touching me and I saw Ash transform into some kind of monster. I started to feel the pain course throughout my body, was he beating me?  I tried moving away but the floor was melting away, I screamed and scrambled onto the couch.

     I needed to out of here.  I looked at the floor again but this time the floor was going back to normal, I got off the couch and ran but Ash slammed me against the door. The door knob dug into my side and I tried to kick him away, he punched my left eye and I collapsed on the floor. 

    I looked up and saw that the walls were bleeding green goo, Ash hovered over me with this huge grin that took up most of his face. Then again, these were hallucinations.  

   My head was killing me but I grabbed his car keys that apparently ended up on the floor. I somehow escaped his house and scrambled to the car, trying to unlock it. I got into the car and started it up, I backed out of his driveway and went on my way.

     The hallucinations were still there but I tried to shake them away, I needed to focus. I turned into the other lane but I knew that I wasn't thinking straight.

       I heard something coming so I looked to my left, this huge creature was coming towards me, faster and faster. It was making this loud honking sound like semi's make. 

        As it creeped closer it began to reveal itself, it was the semi. I tried to drive away from it but it was too late.  Slam!
