I was in loss for words. I didn't get it. I'm not beautiful. If I was trust me I would know, because no guy ever looks me up and down they way that do toward Harmony, in stead they give me looks of disgust and hatred. But know I'm starting to rethink things.
"If you don't believe me tomorrow we'll go to all the football players and ask them their opinion of you. No buts, we are doing this to raise your self esteem." Xander demands and hops back into his room and into the bathroom. I then went to bed and imagined the events bound to happen tomorrow.
<<<>>><<<>>><<<>>><<When I woke up the next morning I heard a certain tapping on my window. I got up to investigate. Again it was Xander. I raise my window up.
"Good morning Sunshine! Hurry up get dressed for school, because today we are here to dress to impress." Xander said with a a sassy attitude kinda way which made me groan because he woke me up at 6:30.
Why?
"You sound like the guy off of what not to wear." I claimed. He looks at me with a wide cheesy grin. His appearance was like a little kid who had received candy.
"How'd you know?" Xander asked interestingly as he put his fist under his chin cheesiness hard.
I cleared my throat before speaking starting to question Xander's sexuality.
"Uhem... Xander is there anything you want to tell me? Because if so I won't judge and I will except who ever you are as a person." I interrogated with a good laugh.
His facial expression changed and gave me a good glare.
"I'm not gay Dalia, if I were to be gay I wouldn't find you attractive I would find your brother attractive and that's just weird." He explained.
He keeps saying that but I don't get it. I'm not attractive.
"So is there a reason you woke me up at this ungodly hour?" I asked still half asleep.
"Well football practical starts in 45 minutes so I suggest you hurry up and get ready and do all that stuff that girls do that takes forever." He said shooing me away. So I got up and put on a white blouse like dress with mid length sleeves with a lace strip in the middle of the sleeves. I wrapped a thick brown belt around my waist, and put on a navy blue oversized sweater my best friend Walker gave me before he passed away. And some brown Tom boot wedges that showed my ankle bracelet I made with him in 7th grade. I then put in my Kendra Scott necklace he gave me as a present on my birthday because my parents forgot.
Walker Parsons was and still is my best friend even though he isn't here. He was the only person other than Wren who stood up for me. And like every one else I'm close to he was popular and his death was the reason everyone hated me.
One night of my birthday we went to a party Walker insisted I go because he'd had the party thrown for me. Later during the party he said he had an emergency that it was urgent and he had to be there. Walker was a cool guy never had any plans he just let life happens as it came. But he was in trouble and I'm the only one who started to notice it. That night when I got home the Parsons were at my house with my parents.
Flashback
"Adalia Ivory Parker where in the hell were you we've been looking everywhere for you, and now Walkers missing." My fathers voice boomed at me. I turned and looked at Ms. and Mr. Parsons with confusion. Little Emily had dried tears that ran down her face and she was starting to tear up again.
What? I thought he'd texted me he was home 30 minutes ago.
"Walker took me to a party for my birthday, and he left early saying that he had an emergency. But he'd texted me 30 minutes ago he was home." I confirmed.
