THE BABY HAS A LITTLE BEE HAT AND REMEMBER DEAN ALWAYS CALLED CAS BEE AND THIS PICTURE IS SO PERFECT I'M GONNA DIE, ALL THAT'S MISSING IS THE SECOND BABY.
Dean (POV)
Things had been going fantastic. Better than fantastic! The twins were growing up healthy and beautiful and me and Cas were... happy? I suppose you could say that. We were stressed, very stressed but that didn't stop us from still being in love with each other.
Things may not be the same anymore, especially seen as we aren't 18 years old and getting drunk and having sex in tents anymore. Not like that was normal anyway but it was still fun. I had said from the moment go that I always have and always will count Cas as a best friend before my lover but now he is my husband and father to my children before anything else.
It seemed like we weren't even best friends anymore, those days were behind us. No more mucking around or inside jokes. Sure we still had those but never in the same way anymore. It wasn't a bad change though, it was a fantastic change but I ha always thought that me and Cas would still be the same people we were when we left school. Guess not.
"What's on your mind, mr potato head?" Cas asked me in a fake grumpy voice. Never mind, he hasn't changed a bit.
"Nothing much. Just thinking about how much the twins have grown." Today was their first birthday and to be honest it had gone so quick. They were already crawling around and Samantha just wanted to walk about but she just didn't haven't the balance for it yet. So instead she only stood in the middle of the room rocking back and forth slightly before falling back down on her bum.
Cas and I had been the best parents in the world. Well thy was a damn right out lie. We were terrible and immature and sometimes I would actually have to physically throw Em or Sam to cas or vice versa when they wouldn't settle down for either one of us. But even after all that, we loved them so fucking much.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU. YOU LIVE IN A SHOE. YOU LOOK LIKE MOOSE-SAMMY, YOU BELONG IN THE ZOO." Gabriel sung and Sam, the tall one not the baby, rolled his eyes and picked Emandriel up happily.
"Smile for the camera!" Anna said and clicked, sending a flash into mine and castiels direction.
"Jesus Christ on a bike." Cas shouted and squinted his eyes. We all sat down on the sofas while the the older twins and the baby twins crawled around on the ground. Gabriel and Balthazar thought it was just hilarious to pretend to be babies apparently.
I looked over at Cas who smiled down at his brothers and children and thought of how much he had changed. He had of course grown out of his punk-rock stage and now wore sweaters, cardigans or dungarees, whatever was comfortable or could hide baby puke easiest. The only signs that showed he was ever in a punk band or ever did and got over drunk were the tattoos and needle scars dotted around his arms and other parts of his bodies.
As far as i knew Cas hadn't touched a single drug since he had been to rehab and i would be lying if i said i wasn't proud of him. It takes someone a lot to get off the addictive substances and he was strong to have even done it.
"So Dean, are you back to work yet?" Sam spun me out of my little daydream/thought process. I looked at him and nodded my head slowly.
"Yeah, i've been back for a few weeks. It's going okay but working and having kids and being married has to be the hardest thing ever because i never get any time for myself."
"Awww well why don't you just fucking leave then." Cas heared me and turned to snap at me. I roll my eyes and huff, turning back to Sammy.
"It also doesn't help to have a bitchy husband who is on your damn back all the time." I tell Sammy but it was directed mainly at Cas.
