10.4k holy shit guys. I can't even BEGIN to say thank you I really can't. Hopefully you enjoy this chapter, now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go cry in a corner over 10.4 thousand reads thank you.
Cooing noises made their way to my ears, as my eyes fluttered open. I inhaled, stretching my legs out more under the blankets and then rubbing at my eyes with the palms of my hands. The cooing turned into gurgling, at least I think so, and I looked around to find the source of the noise. My eyes caught on Ricky, who was to my left bending over a box on wheels. I saw tiny hands reach up, and Ricky chuckle before leaning down more, probably to kiss Angel's cheek or forehead. I couldn't stop the smile from stretching across my face, when Ricky came back up a little, some of his hair held tightly in Angel's tiny fist.
I pushed myself up, still feeling the slightest bit weak. Ricky must have heard my movement, for he got Angel to let go of his hair and turned around to face me. A happy and content smile formed on his lips, and then he reached into the crib, producing a tiny bundle of blankets wrapped around our precious little angel. Ricky had a firm hold on Angel as he walked towards my bed, and I moved over to give him some room to sit.
I gasped at the sight of Angel, still bewildered by the fact she was ours. It was amazing to know that Ricky and I brought such an innocent little thing into the world, earlier this morning. I loved her to bits and pieces, and I'll be damned if anything ever happened to her while in my care. She was perfect, too. Angel's skin was a pale white, a little darker than Ricky's though so about my pale white. For a newborn, she had a full head of raven black hair that was a little covered by a beanie. Her eyes were closed, so I didn't know what color they were, but I hoped they were the same shade as Ricky's. If she did, she'd be breaking hearts sooner than ever.
Angel's lips were such a light pink, and she had the same nose as Ricky - definitely.
"She's so beautiful." I whispered, not wanting to wake her up.
"Just like her mother," Ricky was quick to say, and it made me smile as I looked up at him. Just then, I remembered what day it was and I leaned towards him to kiss his cheek.
"Happy birthday, Ricky." I said.
"Thank you." Ricky kissed the top of my head as I leaned it on his shoulder.
"I'm sorry she was born on the same day," I mumbled, hoping he didn't mind that he now had to share his birthday with his daughter.
"Are you kidding? Like I said when she was born, this is the best birthday present ever. I couldn't ever be upset about this." Ricky assured, and I sighed in relief.
Just then, the door opened slowly and a head poked through. Their eyebrows were a little too perfect, hair straightened although looking a little wet, possibly even gelled in the slightest. When seeing everybody but Angel was awake, Chris stepped inside and the other guys followed after him, Vinny included. I hadn't seen him much lately, but he was a nice guy and I wish the boys would make him the new official drummer of Motionless In White. He played the drums magnificently, always perfect for their songs.
"Okay, where's my godchild?" Balz exclaimed, when he entered, and everybody shushed him as Angel stirred in Ricky's arms. Ryan-Ashley was behind him, and slapped him over the head. "Oops, sorry." he whispered, chuckling nervously.
They all gathered around the bed slowly, and I held out my arms towards Ricky. He placed Angel softly in them, and I held her close to my chest. Damn, Ricky and I make cute kids. I kissed her forehead softly, and just then a crack of thunder was heard easily from outside. The drapes were open, and I saw it start to pour. After seeing a streak of lightening, we all looked back at Angel when she made a sound. It wasn't one of discomfort, but of fascination.
Her gorgeous blue eyes looked around the room, at all the scary men with lots of makeup on. I couldn't help but chuckle, and she reached up to pat her own head, eventually finding the beanie and pushing it off. Everybody laughed, and I ran my fingers through her messy hair lightly to make it less crazy.
"So Balz, what makes you think you're gonna be her godfather?" Ricky asked, putting the attention on the keyboardist instead of Angel.
"Uhm, because I'm awesome?" Balz said, in a duh tone. He was so full of himself sometimes, but we wouldn't have him any other way.
Everybody chuckled, and then I spoke up. "Actually, we sort of discussed this after I moved in with Rick..." I said and it grabbed everybody's attention. Ricky smiled at me, encouraging me to go on. I cleared my throat before speaking. "We wanted Chris, to take the place of godfather, and Ryan-Ashley to take the place as godmother."
Chris' eyes went wide, and Ryan-Ashley covered her mouth with her hands in shock.
"We wanted Chris to be the godfather because he was there during the beginning of Sara's pregnancy, and after her first accident when she had her amnesia. And Ryan-Ashley as the godmother because she helped with all the shopping and is a great female role model to Angel we'd like to think." Ricky said.
"I'd be honored, you guys. Thank you." Ryan-Ashley said happily, smiling big.
"What about you Chris?" I asked, a little nervous because he hadn't said anything, just kept his eyes on Angel.
He looked up at me and smiled, nodding. "I'd love to, Sara." he said and I smiled back at him. "Can I hold her?" he asked and I nodded.
Chris bent over some, and held out his arms incorrectly so Ricky showed him the right way to put them. Once Chris did so, I slowly leaned over and carefully placed Angel in his arms. Chris stood straight up slowly, getting a good grip on Angel before swaying back and forth in the smallest motions. Angel gurgled and reached up, managing to grab at the tips of his hair and play with them. Chris laughed, and secured his hold on her with one hand, using his other to free Angel's hand and he gave her one of his fingers to grip onto. Chris then leaned down a little kissing Angel's head as her main focus was on Chris' finger as she shook it in her little hand questioningly.
"Okay Christopher, don't hog her." Ryan-Ashley said in a scolding tone. "She's my godchild too, ya know." she teased and we all laughed as Chris walked towards Balz girlfriend and handed my child to her.
"I am so going to spoil you, missy." Ryan-Ashley said in a baby voice, and we laughed when Balz slapped his hand to his forehead.
"Don't spoil her too much, Ryan. We only have such a big house." Ricky warned, and everybody laughed.
"That's what I wanted to talk to you about actually." I spoke up and Ricky looked at me. "I was thinking that maybe after all this wedding madness is over, we could start saving for a new and, bigger, place to live."
Ricky looked up, thinking about it before a smile slowly spread across his face for the millionth time today.
"I think that's a great idea." he agreed.
"But that nursery! Painting, crib building, damn it I don't wanna do it all over again!" Balz complained.
