Have you ever just sat somewhere, looked up at the sky and thought? Thought about everything, especially in times like this? I'll admit, not everybody has gone through what I have. But it takes a lot I like to think for somebody to get through the fact that they were in such a bad accident it caused them to forget two years of their life. And one year of that was some of the best days they'd ever encountered. I woke up that day after a month of sleeping, confused about everything. Maybe even a little scared of the amount of men wearing black and seemingly intimidating. I didn't know who they were, but I remember wanting to know.

I remember my first thoughts about seeing him, utterly crushed at the news of my memory loss. Ricky was the one to have taken that news the worst, you could tell. That night when he dropped off boxes of my belongings, you could see sadness in his eyes. You could see that he didn't want to be doing that, and when I'd asked him if he and I had been dating he perked up. You could tell he was already hoping for us to get on to the remembering stage of everything. I like to think of myself as lucky when it comes to that, I got to remember something the day after I got home. And then memories kept coming from there.

When I got here, I contemplated telling Ricky what I've recalled so far. But then everything just seemed so content, so nice and I didn't want to disturb that peace. We'd sat down on the blanket, eating pizza and drinking champagne since we both despised wine. I don't know about Ricky, but I found it to taste like wax. I never knew why I compered it to wax, but I did. We talked, about random things. Ricky came to be the cheesy one and asked about the weather today, which I found pretty funny and couldn't help but laugh. That led us to play fighting each other, and now we were laid out on the blanket as we looked up at the twinkling stars. I could even make out a few constellations, I just couldn't remember the names of them.

I was on my back, hands over my stomach. The still calm water made little noise, both of us remaining silent. Throughout the night, the question of why Ricky did this ran through my head. Don't get me wrong, I loved this and loved that he did this, but I wanted to know why. Or how he could come up with something so romantic.

"What are you thinking about?" I heard him ask. I turned my head to see him looking at me too, a small and content smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

I sighed and turned onto my side, propping my head up onto my hand. Ricky copied my actions, and I stayed quiet a moment as I collected the words I wanted to say in my brain.

"Why did you do this, Rick?" it was the easiest way I could put it, so I didn't seem rude for asking. Ricky chuckled and sighed, collecting his thoughts as well.

"Might as well start from the beginning then huh?" he asked and I nodded in agreement. "This is I guess in a way a redo date," he began.

Ricky's Point Of View

"What do you mean?" she asked, she was adorable when confused. Sara always scrunched her nose up when confused, and I adored it.

"Well you see, our first date wasn't that bad. I took you to the movies and dinner at a really fancy restaurant and I won't lie, that shit was expensive." I chuckled and heard her giggle. Dear Lord, that giggle. I missed it. "Our second date, I attempted to do something like this. It was in a really shitty park in Scranton though, not even sure why people still go to it today." I shrugged.

"Anyways, I wasn't very romantic back then and I even needed help coming up with this. It was a picnic, with the cheesy plaid blanket and weaved picnic basket. It was miserable though, because I planned it in late afternoon and it was summer. We were dying and were just lucky I set everything up under a large tree that shaded us.

"But I aimed it to be a surprise, and left the food which had meat in the sandwiches to bake in the heat while I led you to the tree while covering your eyes. Everything was fine minus the heat and then I took out the food, everything was spoiled and too nasty to eat besides your beloved Doritos." I laughed and she did to. "Anyways the date sucked, but by the end of the night I managed to get lucky and you said yes to being my girlfriend." I finished.
