I woke up on a cold December morning,
the day that I thought
would be like any other
ended up,
Actually ended up being a
pretty life changing day for
the 17th of December.

I walked into Starbucks
getting a coffee
to prepare me for
the long day that awaited

There I met Matty.
-
"I will have a coffee, no cream, no sugar," I say to the teen working there.

"What type of trauma did you go through that now you don't
Put sugar in your coffee?" Asks the young boy

"Well I'm not nine, like you my friend," I say to him

"Hey! I'm 12 and my name is Matty,
You may of heard of me,"

"Oh I have," I say remembering seeing him on YouTube or maybe Instagram?

"So how old are you, I wanna get your number"

I think about telling him I'm 17 but that probably wouldn't go down well

"I'm 14." I say lying.

"Oh here's my number,"
he says handing me
a toothpaste container with his number written on it
