Chapter 3

Stiles dropped me off at home after leaving Scott at his job. He seemed worried about something but he is stiles, so I didn't ask. I remember Derek in the woods, he was so handsome yet so mysterious. I couldn't stop thinking of his imagine on my head. My phone vibrated and I checked it, from Lydia.

From: Lydia

Going shopping later, can you come?

I loved shopping with her, but then we would take long and I would come home tired for anything. I wouldn't let my workout pass a single day.

From: Irina

Yes! Love to! I'm headed for a run. I'll take me about an hour so text ok?

Going for a run! Even thought I couldn't stop imagining seeing Derek in the woods.

From: Lydia

Yes, of course! I'll text you.

With that I headed to my drawers and took my my working out outfit. I put my black nike sports bra and black nike shorts, even Nike running shoes. I grabbed my iPhone and had enough battery for shuffle music.

Running in the woods always distracted me, it relaxes me afterwards with a hot shower. I couldn't get that Derek guy out of my head. He's problaly in his early 20s or something. I though to myself, running in more into the woods. I stopped to fix my ponytail and my headphone fell off. I tried to fix it but a breaking twig stopped me from any movements. I turned around to find nothing, but I turned around to find a figure feet away.

"Omg!" I yelled but then realized it was just Derek.

"I thought I made it clear off 'private property' " he said rudely.

"S-sorry, I totally forgot off the invisible fence you put there." I said sarcastically with annoyance in my tone.

"Just-" Derek said but i interrupted him.

"Don't worry I'm already leaving. " I said and walked back his eyes widened with a weird expression. Then a small drop of water fell to my face.

"Great!" I said to myself.I totally forgot exactly where I was.

"You, know. It's going to rain harder, you should come to my house for shelter. " I heard Derek say almost sincere.

"Don't worry about it, I won't pass your property. " I said not turning around but the rain came harder.

"Ugh! This is just freaking awesome!" I mumbled to myself. Two pair of hands grabbed my shoulder making me feel sparkles around over my body. He put his hand away and I turned to face him, inches from his face.

"Your should get shelter before you get wet soak. " Derek said.

My eyes widened and he looked at me confused. But I just nodded.

I followed him and he broke the silence.

"What were you thinking? " Derek asked and I only shrug.

After walking and walking. We made it to a burned down house, I supposed his house. I didn't want to ask questions about this. The rain was hard and I was shaking because of lack of warm clothes. Derek noticed and he took his leather jacket off and put it on me. We made it inside and the place looked decent from what happened here it was still put.

"Thanks. " I said as we walked to the couch.

"No problem. " Derek said and I smiled.

"So, you live here? " I asked not keeping my mouth shut.

"Yes, just for now. " Derek said and my stomach tightened. For now? I thought to myself.

"Oh, so what brings you back? " I asked and he sigh.

"Well, to find my sister, the oldest one." Derek said and anger filled his eyes, he blink away and I could almost sworn that I saw electric blue.

I shook my head off.

"Want some coffee? " Derek asked and I nodded.

He stood up and headed to the kitchen. He grabbed everything he needed and came back to sit next to me, waiting for the water to boil.

"So, tell me about your self? " Derek asked sitting in front of me.

"Well, I'm Irina. Irina McCall. " I said and he nodded for me to continue.

"Wait is this 20 questions? " I asked.

"If you want to call it like that, then yes. " Derek said and I nodded.

"Ok, then it's my turn." I said.

"Alright. " Derek said.

"Where does your sister live? " I asked and his eyes widened and closed.

"She's dead. " Derek said and I dropped my mouth in shock. I saw his eyes with sadness and I walked to him giving him a hug.

"I'm so, sorry. I shouldn't of asked. " I said hugging him which got him surprised and he hugged back.

"It's ok." he said inches away from me. Sparkles on my body and butterflies too. Derek leaned in and glance at my lips then to my eyes. He leaned in and so did I, I've never kissed anyone. His lips smashed into mine and I kissed back.

*bzz*

My phone vibrated making things awkward and Derek let go. I blushed a little and he chuckled. He walked to the kitchen and poured in to the cups.

From: Lydia

Picking you up in 15 minutes. See you!

Oh, great! I completely forgot about that.

"Derek." I said and he came out of the kitchen. His smirk in his face, I was confused.

"What? " I asked.

"You know my name? " Derek asked and I realized that he never told me his name. I blushed and played it off cool.

"Well, stiles told me your name. Not like I asked him, he told me about you in the woods." I said and he grinned.

"What ever. " I said with fake smile.

"What did you want to tell me? " Derek asked.

"Do you have a car?" I asked and he nodded.

"I might need a ride back home, please. " I asked and his face looked sad a little.

"So, no coffee? " He said looking at the kitchen.

"Oh, yea. You see I'm going shopping. But since you helped me. Why don't I invite you for some coffee at my house." I said and he widened his eyes in shock.

"I don't think your brother might want me there" Derek said.

"Well, then we go to Starbucks." I said excited.

"Your taking me on a date? " Derek said smirking.

"No, I'm inviting you and paying, your driving." I said and he nodded.

"Alright let's go, I need to go home." I said and we headed towards my house.
