Third POV

Willow hasn't spoken a word since that day. She didn't eat, she couldn't sleep, and she stayed in her room. She cried every night. Jamie tried to stay by her side everyday as much as possible, but being an Alpha kept him busy. He worried about her, on that day Willow was not someone but something else. She was blinded by loss, revenge, and darkness. He held her close when they slept, but she would always wake up either scared or depressed.

She starved the weight off, she looked more bony now. Her skin was pale, her beautiful blue eyes were dead, her long rich brown hair was dull. Jamie couldn't take it anymore, he needed his mate back, the pack needed their Luna, and Melissa needed her mother. Jamie understood it was hard for her and it was a terrible experience, but staying isolated doesn't heal those wounds.

"Matt", Jamie said looking up from my work and his Beta looked at him "do you think you can manage without me for a week?"

"Yeah sure, why you ask?", Matt asked and Jamie thought for a moment

"Just cover me for the week", Jamie answered and Matt nodded "thanks".

Willow's POV

It's not easy... To forget what happened. She was taken out of me, before my very eyes. I know I have to stay strong, but it's easy said than done. I couldn't sleep, whenever I did, images of that day came flowing into my mind.

"Willow", I heard someone whispered and I looked to see Jamie. I was laying in bed, spread out like a starfish and was just staring at the ceiling. I know how hard this has been on Jamie, everything I felt, he was feeling through our mate bond. We hardly talked, or rather, I never talked. I can feel the connection getting weaker, because I was going to a place that I think I can never come back from. The experience was just to traumatic.

"Hey", I croaked laying on my side as he walked over to the bed and sat on the edge

"I want to take you somewhere", he said moving a strain of my hair out of my face "just for this week love"

"Where are we going?", I asked

"It's a surprise", he replied with a small smile "come on. We'll take a shower and I'll pack everything". I nodded, took his hand, and we went into the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and just stared ...that's.... Me?! My eyes were dull, so was my hair, my skin was pale, I could see my cheekbones. I tugged at the collar of my shirt revealing my collarbone sticking out I feel like Bella from Twilight, I starved myself that much? When I saw Jamie looking at me through the reflection, I quickly looked away and started messing with the hem of my sweater

"Arms up", he quietly said and I raised my arms. His hands slid up my side making me shiver and pulled the sweater over my head. He's so warm and I'm cold. He stripped the rest of my clothing and helped me into the shower. I stood there letting the water wash over and a chill went up my spine when I felt something cold being poured on my head. Jamie ran his hands through my hair and started massaging my scalp

"I know, these past few weeks has been hard", he whispered and I tensed

"Jamie", I warned but my voice stayed weak and low

"I hate seeing you like this Willow", he wrapped his arms me and kissed the back of my head, even though it was covered in soap "that's why we're going away, so we both clear our minds and pull ourselves together". I manage to turn around in his embrace and looked at him. His eyes looked lost and although he looked put together, I knew he wasn't
