The moral has many meanings
1) you cry now bc your sad I won't get what you want. You won't stay outside later. But if anything happens to you your parents will cry for the rest of their lives knowing your gone.
2) you may cry from lost of loved one, depression, sadness, etc. But that will pass some day you will grow out if it. I grew out of mine. But if you do leave forever, you parents and friends will cry for the rest of their lives.
