Chapter 4

*beep beep beep*
Urgh I wake up to my alarm blaring on my phone but this morning was different, strong arms were wrapped around my waist and my head was resting on someones very muscular chest.
Jack.
"Morning baby girl" he croaked out as I turned off the alarm.
His morning voice is so hot.
"Morning, you might want to leave before we get caught" I suggested.
"But this is so nice" he whined.
"I know but you have to go" I whined back copying him.
"We'll do this again baby girl" he murmured as he got up, leaned over me and kissed me! It was short but sweet and I didn't want it to end.
A minute after he left Jamie barged into my room and started jumping on the bed shouting "WAKE UP!!!"
"Fuck you" I laughed and whacked her with a pillow.
"Come on let's choose what you want to wear today!" She exclaimed while dragging me into her room and into the huge walk in closet.
"Okay so choose whatever you want, I'm gonna go get ready" she left me in the massive closet.
I made my way to one of the many cupboards, this had shelves upon shelves of shorts, jeans and pants. I chose a pair of light blue high waisted ripped skinny jeans and matched it with a cute black fitted shirt, black Nike roches and a black bomber jacket.

I got dressed did my usual morning routine, and went downstairs to find Jamie, she was eating a weird creation she called 'pancake medley' it was a small pancake covered in peanut butter, topped with kraves (the cereal) and chocolate chips. I really don't know how she's so skinny.
She finished "you ready to go?" I asked while grabbing a water bottle.
"Aren't you going to eat?" She sounded concerned.
"no I'll be fine I'll just have water" I never have breakfast, I just don't think it's very necessary.
"Okay if your sure.." She just shrugged it off.
"I'm sure, now LEGGO!!" I shouted.
Jamie giggled at my goofiness and we headed out of the door.

~ skip school ~

During school Jamie asked if I wanted to move in to hers, she told me she had already text her mum and dad and they said it was fine. I can't believe this! I'm so excited! I just hope when we get to mine, that my mum doesn't kick up a fuss about it.

Me and Jamie made our way to my house to grab some stuff and to see my mum who I haven't seen in a few days, it's not like she really cares about me anyway.
We walked in the front door to hear screaming and crying. Typical.
"Sorry about this, it's always so hectic and messy here" I apologized to Jamie.
"Don't worry about it" she reassured me.

I walked up stairs to find my mum holding my baby sister (Eden) while arguing with my step dad. I walked straight to my room, grabbed my suitcase and with Jamie's help, filled it with all my clothes and accessories. I then got a big bag for my possessions, I don't have many that actually mean much to me so I just packed the things I needed and wanted to keep.
I carefully made my way to my mums room to find her feeding Eden "oh Chloe! Just the person I wanted to talk to, where have you been the past few days?!" She asked me she's annoyed I can hear it in her voice.
"At Jamie's, I have been texting you to let you know" I explained politely

See the thing you need to know about my mum is that even though she treats me like shit and like a slave, she still expects me to be respectful to her and do whatever she wants me to do. If I don't she has a very short temper and won't hold back on hitting me.

"Well that's not good enough! You stupid girl did you ever think that I might not check my phone?!" She shouted.
"But your always on it" I stated quietly.
"Excuse me?! Who the fuck do you think you are? I am your mother you do not talk to me like that!"
*slap*
"No your not! Your nothing to me I hate you, this house, that baby and dickhead I'm forced to call my stepdad!" I screamed, tears threatening to spill but I held them back for now.
She put Eden down and made her way over to me.
"GET OUT! GET OUT OF MY HOUSE! IF YOU HATE IT HERE SO MUCH THEN LEAVE!" She was now in my face screaming so I brought my hand up and slapped her.
"It will be my pleasure to leave, have a nice life with that rat of a daughter" before I knew it she had punched me straight in the face, blood started to pour from my eye.
I ran out of the room, back to Jamie and grabbed my stuff and we left.
"Omg Chloe are you okay? You need to go to hospital! That much blood shouldn't be coming out of your eye!"
"No it's okay I'm fine, I've had worse"

We reached Jamie's house and I went to the kitchen to get some ice and tissues, I walked back into the hallway to see about 10 boys looking from my eye to the things I was holding. I froze until Jack came up to me "who did this?! I swear to god they will wish they didn't"
I couldn't hold it back anymore i cried, but not because of my eye, not out of sadness. I was crying tears of happiness, happy that I was finally free of that horrible place.

Jack had engulfed me into a hug, it was warm and comforting. It was cut short from someone clearing their throat behind him, we broke apart to see all the guys still standing there looking worried or confused.

Who are the guys? And will Chloe get along with them? Will they pose a threat to Jack? And what's Nate going to do if he sees Jamie again?
