Heather's POV

I was sitting alone in the bus shaking. Shaking for many damn reasons. Really? did just that happen? Did I just witnessed some crazy apparition and made friends with a psycho woman?

I was shaking because first, of that mysterious ghostly kid at the window with those mad glare. Second, that creepy old woman saying those random words. Lastly is, who wouldn't be nervous on going to a new school? Thanks for the burden.

This was too much for my first day in school and in this town also. I expected to have a peaceful ride, a peaceful mind, a peaceful stay and most of all a peaceful life but here I was horror-strucked by who knows what just happened. I never imagined myself moving into a ghost town.

"Hello! I see you're new here"

While I was trembling with fear and nervousness and lost in a daydream someone just freaked me out again, sitting beside me without warning. Could you just please slow things up? Hello, sensitive little lady here.

"Ahh. Hi. Y-yes I am" I answered awkwardly.

"I'm Blaire Williams by the way. But just call me Blaire" offering her hand

"Heather, Heather Lewis" and I gave mine.

"Well Heather. You just met your new friend. Can I sit with you? These people are too nosy like I don't have a right on my privacy"

"Y-yes. no worries"

"Where did you came from by the way?" she asked while sneaking at her cute pink bag searching something.

"From Maryland."

"It must have been sucky for you to move. I mean Darkwood is a good place with good people but you know with your friends left there and you missing them"

"Yeah" I don't have to tell anything, she already did it.

I was never used to people talking to me in first sight. I swear to myself I felt awkward. Yes cause I also act awkward based on my friends back to my previous home which I already missed like what she guessed recently.

Blaire was beautiful. Really pretty. She has long shiny brown hair. Thick eyebrows. Not that it doesn't look good on her but actually it was her asset. It made her very attractive.

I was checking my messages at my phone and Blaire was putting lipstick when-

"Hey Blaire, lets go. We're here" someone approached her when the bus stopped

"Yeah I know bro. Just wait" and she turned to me. "Heather, come with me I'll show you around" and I followed her.

Here I was, McCavoy High. My new world and my new school. It was so crowded with random people moving in groups doing anything they want on the first day of school after the vacation and I never had any idea this town has high population. Some were hanging by the fountain at the center of the building. Some were riding their bikes while waiting for classes. Some sitting on those inviting green grass that surrounds the school to hang out. Some just chitchatting with their friends.

As we got out of the bus several people greeted Blaire and her brother. Some stared at me. Not with those tiger eyes like that mysterious kid lately at the house but with curious glares. That's what you get when you're the new kid. Trust me

"Heather, this is my brother Brent" she caught my attention while I was staring at the huge school's name standing above the building.

"And Brent, this is Heather. Be good to her since she's new here."

I faced him and we simultaneously said Hi together. I felt awkward again.

Brent has this strong face with very very strong eyes and a wonderful bone structure. Kinda handsome though in his own mysterious way. He is kinda bit taller than Blaire who has the same height as me.
