The begining..... I think.

Ok, so this is my first story on wattpad so im really nervous to how it turns out!

Chapter 1 - The beginning... I think.

I feel like I've given up. Laying here just staring at the ceiling. Its been four months and three days since I left the Southern Air Temple and came here to the middle of no where to live with randoms that call themselves the freedom fighters! Please what a name! When I first heard it I almost laughed at the irony. They think they've had a hard time losing their parents, or their house. Well I didn't even know my parents!

You should probably start to get to know me. Well let's start at the beginning. My name is Cazzandra and I hate when people call me that. I prefer Caz, or awesome chick that can kick your butt. Yea if you have noticed I don't have a last name. Nobody has a last name where I come from; I guess it's just easier that way.

But here, it's so weird. I mean there are trees everywhere!! Yes I have seen a tree before but not this many and no, I'm not dumb. I'm just not used to forest. I'm used to big open spaces where I can use my air bending without a stupid tree getting in my way! Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, I am an air bender. Yeah I know. And to top it all off I am a girl. Yeah, you've never heard of a girl air bender have you? Well, apart from the Avatar but I'm not the Avatar, my brother is.

And with that thought I felt a pang of pain run through me. Yea, I really miss my bro. But I can't think about that now. I'm meant to be focusing on staring at the ceiling and blocking out the chick across the room that I think is talking to me, but I don't want to know. I mean I'm not mean or anything its just I would rather be outside and be practicing my air bending. Sadly, I cant because I'm not allowed to show my awesome skills to anyone here because it seems they don't like benders, or just fire benders. I don't see what's wrong with them. I had a friend who was a fire bender, yea his name was Kuzon. He was really fun at pulling pranks and what not.

A sad sigh escaped my lips. I miss my old friends. I really cant believe its been 100 years. Oh and that's another thing, I'm really 112 years old but I look like a 12 year old. Yea I should probably tell you. When I was 12 I fell into some sort of really deep sleep that went for as long as 100 years. Yeah, I know, weird. But what is even weirder I was in a air bending bubble thing when I fell asleep. I really think I'm a freak.

Why couldn't this happen to someone else! I mean why couldn't it happen to that girl who was bullying MY brother because he had awesome arrows on his body. Geez, she was really annoying! Anyway when I woke up, no one was there. NO! Don't think about that Caz, you will just bring back unwanted memories.

"So, what do you think?" The girl from across the room said. Oh, Biscuits and cookies! I forgot she was talking to me. I looked at her and just shrugged. "You don't like talking do you?" She said again. I looked back towards the ceiling. I heard her sigh.

"Penny!" A voice from outside called.

"I'm in here," Penny replied. So that's what her name was....

"Jet wants to talk to you," the girl walked in. I knew her name. Her name was Smellobee. She was the girl who found me in the woods and took me back here. "I'll stay here with her," she said. Ah, hello! I have a name!

"Ok," Penny stood up and left. Smellobee took her place at the other side of the room. I flipped my legs over and sat on the edge of the bed. I watching her. Yea, I probably look like some stalker at the moment, but I was waiting until she got bored and left so I could go for a walk.

"Why are you staring at me?" She was glaring at me. I quickly diverted my gaze out window. Dang, she caught me! Is it just me or does she not like me? At that moment I heard someone come inside the room I'm staying in for now.

"Is she talking yet?" I heard a manly voice say. I looked over. Oh, I thought dully, its just Jet. I returned to looking out the window surrounded in all my thoughts.

"No, not yet," Smellobee said. I was death glaring the window; I had just caught on to what they were saying. They were discussing me! Like hello! I'm right here!! Gosh, that's like twice in one 10-minute time space. I continued looking out the window until I felt the bed dip beside me and a hand on my shoulder. I quickly jumped away and gave Jet a death glare. Yea, if looks could kill he would be long gone!

"You know you could just talk to us, we are basically are your family now. Since we did take you in and all," he said meeting my eyes. I scoffed and continued looking out the window wishing I could be outside. But noooooooo, I had to be stuck with these two.

"Do you want to go outside?" Wait, how did he know? I spun around to look at him. He chuckled, "Bee, can you take her for a walk?" Awww I had to still be stuck with her and again, I have a NAME!! Oh well he walked out. I looked over to Smellobee or Bee I guess, waiting for her to stand up.

"You know you look just like a dog waiting to go for a walk" she smiled at me. So maybe she isn't that bad. She then got up and I followed her to the stairs down to the ground from the biggest tree house I've ever seen. Yea, I know, they live in a massive tree house; well actually you could call it a tree house mansion. Yea I think you get the idea, this place was huge!

We started walking, she was leading us down a well worn path that lead to a bigger path. On either sides of me were massive trees. All of which had amazingly thick branches. These are great for climbing, I thought to myself. Aang always loved climbing trees.

*Flashback*

"Oh come on Caz! Its really Fun!" My brothers voice rung out in the still air. He was gliding around I front of me on his new glider that the monks gave him. He wanted me to climb right to the top of this tree with him.

"No Aang, I might fall and hurt myself!" I called out to him. He landed in front of me.

"Caz, to be a bender you have to let go of any fear. And you have to let go of all the doubt in yourself." He smiled at me. His smiles were always contagious, so I smiled back.

"Now before we go are we going to climb this tree?" he said.

"Fine, but you better catch me if I fall!" I said starting to climb.

"Oh come on Caz. I will always be there to catch you if you fall!" he replied.

"Pinky promise?" I held out my pinky to him.

"Yea, pinky promise," He said shaking my pinky with his. That night Him and me sat at the top of that tree for hours just talking and playing with fireflies using our air bending skills.

*End Of Flashback*

And now I'm walking through the forest with a complete stranger. I know Aang won't be there to catch me this time. Too bad you didn't see this coming Aang.
